Barfly Cocktail Tin, Set (18 oz and 28 oz), Antique Copper

This is the 2nd set I've purchased; the 1st was a gift and I liked them so much I bought a set for myself. The weighting is a nice feature, not critical, just adds to the pleasure of using the set. There are no seams to catch stuff (I'm sure they are there, just well finished) and they seal together just like they should.

I have 2 sets of these. They are really robust. They are also seamless, heavy, and a bit rigid. I’ve learned not to soak these in the sink overnight as the brand etching turns a little rusty. The seal when shaking is great, no leaks. Breaking the seal to pull them apart can take a pretty hard. I have to really knock the side hard. I like these and got the same set for my adult daughter.

I love mixing drinks for my friends and everytime I pull these out i get comments from my friends. They love them and make comments about being a pro. I was a bartender in college and this is the style we used. These are way better than the commercial crap we used to have. I have literally nothing bad to say. They are a great product, at a good price and look beautiful. We have outfitted our whole bar with barfly.

Love these! Used them at my old job and I fell in love. I hate wet nesting and these are perfect for keeping the smaller tin dry.

I first looked at Barfly gear because of How To Drink on YouTube, and bought in with this shaker and matching measurers, bar-spoon, and Julep Strainer. The seal was a little difficult to break at first, but I was just hitting it in the wrong spot. That being said the seal on this while mixing a drink is amazing. The variety of finishes is a nice touch for personalization which would make this a great gift for anyone looking for good-quality bar tools. Test of Time Edit (Feb 2023): I considered docking this product a star, but the fact that the outer finish tarnishes and wears off after a few runs through the dishwasher (despite being dishwasher safe) is really just a cosmetic issue. The shaker functions the same and is still pretty damn good, just steer clear of the fancy finishes. The same goes for the jiggers.

I own three red tins and a yellow tin. Yellow has had no problems but two red tins have lost their red coating in spots during washing. One was put in the dishwasher and I understand why it failed, but the other has only been hand washed and is still losing its coating on the bottom. They also scratch easily if you store them stacked on each other. I recommend the plain stainless for ease of cleaning, but I still like my color combo.

I purchased a basic cocktail set (also from Barfly), but wanted a second shaker so we didn't need to wash dishes between every cocktail. This shaker is definitely heavyweight as stated in the description. The bottom of tins are very weighted, so they will definitely stay put. I also like that the sides are straight (no seams). It's a clean look and avoids having crevices, which makes for easy cleaning. We've used these several times now and washed them in the dishwasher (no heat dry). I'll update later to comment on durability, etc.

Riktigt vacker shaker men den är lite för styv, Barfly's vanliga rostfria är mycket skönare att använda och koppar finnishen kommer att skava av efter ett tag. Mer en grej du har i hyllan än något att använda till vardags, fast den ser onekligen imponerande ut. Den vanliga är 5 stjärnor så jag rekomenderar den istället.

Boa qualidade

In the description it clearly says Antique copper. I received a shaker that was too big. And shiny metal, very heavy to work and it doesn't say anywhere that it is a bar fly brand. Poor quality

The set works as advertised but a there is small chip at the crevice of the 28 oz cup and its base. It looks like chrome plating failed in this place. If it is stainless steel what's the point of chrome plating? Magnet test indicates that the 18 oz cup is stainless but the 28 oz is not, or at least the same grade.
