How is such great quality so inexpensive? Very impressed!
I've got 30 years of doing videography, running a TV station, teaching production at LSU, etc. I was hesitant to upgrade to one of these inexpensive wireless mics systems, but I have a situation where going wireless would save me some production time. I took a chance, figured I could return it if the sound sucked. But having done two productions with the SmallRig S70-C2 I'm blown away. The sound quality is really fantastic. Easy to set up and use. Plus unlike others of this king, the mic is small and easy to go unseen. Noise Cancelation is really good, I have found the medium setting to be best, along with the "Normal" or "Full" EQ setting. I will be using this wireless mic kit mostly with iPhones and the BMD camera app. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Love SmallRig!

great and easy deployment!
these units are great. i keep buying more. seriously useful. easy and quick deployment. having no body pack is a tremendous help. have two sets of black and two of white. mostly i use the analog out receiver with a stereo mini to stereo xlr breakout cable for each unit, either to individual pro cameras or to a zoom h4e recorder xlr inputs. legal depositions, wedding ceremonies, even one on the shirt of a star oboe symphony performer and the dress of a cellist during a big award show. xlent results for such an affordable setup.

Spend a little more and go for something else
I really wanted this thing to be awesome, but it was mid at best. The levels never really got that loud. I put it up against the Insta 360 mic and HollyLand Lark M1, it felt like I was talking softer. I tried everything in the app, but nothing worked. And I really didnt care for having an app to use with it, the others I mentioned, plug and go. I am returning this.

A+ Wireless with a great price!
Love this system, the mics are clean and full sounding, I use it on my Samsung S23 and my Sony FX6 with a XLR adapter with a 3.5mm plug at the end of it so you can use the cable that comes with this unit. I dont like the dead cats that come with it, they work fine, I don't like to see them in my shot so I had some lavalier windsocks laying around so I used them and they work perfect, one of the foam socks have a rubber collar on it which hold well and it wont fall off and the other foam windsock without the rubber collar holds on just as good, so if your like me and don't like the dead cat look then here is your perfect solution.

Almost perfect for everything except narrative work.
Really great set for both phone and camera. Sound quality is good and noise cancelling is serviceable. Still prefer my DJI Mic 2 for a variety of reasons such as cleaner and richer sound, especially with professional lavaliers attached (can also hide these from sight for narrative work), and direct transmitter recording, which is super helpful when shooting in packed metropolitan areas where drop outs are more likely to occur. Where this baby shines is in quick set ups and discrete application. Snap one on the lapel of a jacket and you're done. No more seeing a box with prominent logos tugging a shirt down. You spend all that time lighting and composing a beautiful shot and have to accept seeing that dangling mic? No thanks. Give me a lav instead. It's also very versatile, working with your phone for quick social feeds or your computer for podcasts or Zoom recordings. And all that for under $100 is pretty amazing. I'm still keeping my DJI as my main camera mic but this little package comes with me for everything else.

STUNNING AUDIO QUALITY AT A FANTASTIC PRICE!
I have used GOpro and several other brands of action camera for many years and have experienced ny challenges trying to record high quality sound to accompany my videos. I have tried a whole range of mic types and setups over the years, so was a little sceptical of how this sub $100 offering from Smallrig would perform, but Ihave to say I was very surprised with results. The kit came in a compact charging case with two mics and, unusually, two receivers, one with a USB-C output connector for phones and pCs, and a second which is aimed at camera user, which has a 3.5mm jack output. There is a short Ttrs cable with 3.5mm jack plugs in both ends that is included in the box. The mics are a unique design, having a titanium rubber coated clip that has a tiny mic at the end, and a small disc at the other, which contains the transmitter and audio processing equipment. The disc becomes hidden beneath the clothing when attached., leaving just the tiniest of Lavalier mics visible on the clothing. It is close to invisible. Connecting the mics and receivers wirelessly was very straightforward, just a press of a button to initially pair them and that’s it. They paired perfectly all the time. The range was phenomenal, I walked so far away that I could no longer see my camera and the mic stayed connected with no deterioration in the sound quality. The camera receiver fit snuggly on the cold shoe mount of my GOPRO Media Mod, with the short cable not interfering with the screen view. The sound quality was superb, straight out of the box , with no adjustment needed. I was very impressed with the audio which seemed fuller and rounder than many systems I’ve tried that cost hundreds of dollars more. It performed just as well when recording directly to my phone or my computer. It. Is 24bit quality but does not have 32bit float pr[pcessing although its output sounded better than many others that did have 32bit float. Ni used the mic and camera receiver for two full days of recording outdoor, spending around six hours each day without having to re-charge the batteries. I ca.. The noise reduction levels were also excellent and the ability to control the setup with the SmallGoGo app on my phone even allowed me to switch off a mic at wull, which was great when two people where being recorded. For less than $100 I think this kit outperforms wireless mic systems costing hundreds of dollars more. If I had just one wish it’s that I would love Smallrig to build in Bluetooth transmission as an option, because that would make it an even more, totally awesome piece of kit.

Sound is excellent, but it's the design that makes these special.
I've got wireless systems from Hollyland and Comica that do a great job, but the design of the S70 sets them apart from my other solutions. The one challenge you might face is that the talent is so used to having the "big" part of the mic showing they might put them on backwards. I shot a talk at a local university and the speakers were amazed by the ease of use and sound quality.

Absolutely insane value - definitely consider if you’re a mobile filmmaker!
Smallrig are making some incredibly high quality products these last couple of years and have gone from a camera cage maker to a one stop shop for the majority of your filmography needs. Just bring a camera! While the small and mobile microphone market is getting very crowded and most brands have multiple generations of development behind them, Smallrig seems to have picked their niche and the iteration shows with this set, which I have to say has impressed me at every level, and I’m a dyed in the wool fan of the Australian mic company with the gold dot for a logo, so it takes a lot to get me to say I prefer these to my Wireless Go sets! Firstly, the box is really, really handy. I know this isn’t the first of its kind but the fact it contains both receiver options as well as two mics is just awesome. The only downside which I find slightly baffling is that you can’t store the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable inside the box along with the rest of the set, so the camera receiver is useless unless this is brought separately. Having said that I have been testing the mobile receiver with various phones and cameras and it hasn’t missed a beat yet! My absolutely favourite feature is that the Osmo Pocket 3 works with this mobile receiver perfectly, in fact it even works via a third party MagSafe adapter with usb passthrough (see photos) which makes this set extremely valuable for me as I can use it with both my Pocket 3 or 17 Pro Max, depending on which one i want to use. I have tested the camera receiver with my Canon r5 and r6 and it has worked very well, although I did need to put it to -5 gain as it was picking up a little bit of background noise and I prefer less gain to noise cancellation. The sound profile from these mics is surprisingly good and you get a decent bass response to voices depending on placement of the mics. In audio editing software it cleans up very nicely and while it isn’t going to impress any audio engineers, it’s orders of magnitude better than using the mics built into your device. Being so small you can clip them to the collar of a t-shirt or the brim of a cap. It would be neat if there was a magnetic way to attach them to clothing somewhere other than the edge, but with button up shirts this is not a problem and with t-shirts, the collar works great. The included wind-socks are also of a really nice quality and while I’m yet to test the sound quality though them, I haven’t actually found I need them just yet even when using the mics in a slight wind. It’s slightly annoying that they cannot fit inside the charging case either but this is less crucial than the 3.5mm cable fitting in. The ability to record a safety track has saved my skin multiple times so it’s very cool this is a feature here too for such a low price. Obviously you can’t expect 32 bit at this price however competitors at this price point aren’t offering it either, and being old school I’d rather get it right in mic (or with the safety track!) rather than relying on fancy raw audio and larger mics. All in all I’ve been sincerely impressed with this set and I think my Rodes were just retired. The fact I can just bring the charging box and the cable and have a full audio solution ready to go is still kinda mind blowing. Great stuff Smallrig.

Excelente producto

Make sure you remove the blue film tape over all connection points
This is a fantastic mic which gives superb recording and that I use for self tapes. But I came across an issue when the mics simply would not work or connect and started flashing red. I tried everything I could but nothing seemed to work. In a moment of desperation and not being able to wait. I ordered another set to arrive next day. However, I realised there is a small film of blue tape on the charging connection to the mics when they sit in the box. It’s difficult to see and may not be obvious. But once I removed these small tapes the mics started to charge and seems that was my issue. So I didn’t need to use the new set and returned them for a refund. But might be good to know for anyone who might have the same issue. This is a wonderful little system and i simply thought my original purchase might have had a fault but I really didn’t want to be without it and was desperate to get another. I absolutely love smallrig products and the S70 in my opinion is exceptional.
