Snuffer Foam Padded Disposable Nose Clips - (100 Pack)

My son suffers from nosebleeds rather often. The emergency room gave us some clamps like this and they were so uncomfortable he hated them. We put a little square of gauze on his nose to soak up sweat and oils and it stays perfectly in place for the recommended 15-20 minutes that the emergency room told us to leave them on. He likes these much better and he is not in discomfort the entire time. We bought the bulk box so that we could send them everywhere with him.

We got these after visiting the kids doctors office. They used something similar. The plastic portion seems to be the same but the foam padding is much bigger/ thicker than the one we got from the doctor. We checked with the pediatricians, tried humidifiers, vaseline around the nostrils, etc... but our young kids kept having repeated nose bleeds.... quite OFTEN.... and after many interrupted nights, we got a speedo swimmers nose plug and it worked well but we kept misplacing it. It didn't help much when we couldn't find it readily. So we opted to try this 100 pack and have plenty around--- put some in each kids room, each car, my wife's purse....etc. The problem we found with the smallest child (4yr old), is that it wouldn't really have as much clamping type pressure as we'd like. Compared to the metal & rubber speedo brand, this was like maybe 70% of that strength. The foam padding also gets slippery if there is a lot of blood and we don't get it all wiped clean with tissue before trying to use these. But all in all, since we have a lot of these, it is still useful for our purpose.

I chose this product for use during office spirometry. The patients find this product comfortable and they have performed as expected. I recommend for those performing spirometry. I have used other types before that hurt the nose; these don't!
