The power of this speaker really lives up to its size. The product is bulkly but can be held in one hand. JBL portable app provides settings to control speaker's equalizer. My suggestion - keep bass to full and mid to lowest and leave treble on default or a point above. You can then use 3rd party apps such as PowerAmp Equilizer to further fine-tune the sound output. This speaker has high output on mid and bass which is good for clarity and loudness with punchy bass especially when kept in places like under the table or on shell where wooden enclosures can amplify the bass and control the mids and treble. I doubt people who are acquainted to more deeper sounds such as Bose or Sony would argue, but you can be assured that you are getting sound quality from JBL worth every penny you have spent. Similar specs on higher brands would cost double and might not even live upto the JBL standard. So do your research and visit outlets if you are evaluating various brands. You can believe me when I say that none of the online reviews are much helpful when in doubt, only listening to the device itself in a shop can relieve you of your doubts. The speaker is attractive, I have ordered red color and it looks fantastic.

Bass is too much, some people would like it though, good for playing very loud music & partying.. i previously had jbl flip 4, i liked the sound of flip 4 (it sounded more balanced) more than this one.. i adjusted the equalizer but still flip 4 sounds way much better to me.

It was a good one in the market. I bought it at a price of 13,998. And the product was best for the price as there is no competitor. It has a 20Hr battery backup with an inbuild power bank, is waterproof and dustproof, with 40w sound, is best for low bass, portable. The only problem I feel is that it has no holding or hanging strap. It's the best product. No compromise for the quality.

The sound of this is very pleasing. Nice balance of mids, highs and lows. I had some cheap bluetooth speakers earlier like tribit go and portronics sound drum p. The price of this is quite high, but the sound and mid bass is also relaively much much better. This sounds like a much bigger speaker than physically it is. The tribit blast might be better than this, but it is much bigger than this, which is difficult to carry around. So I went for this JBL.

I bought this speaker 4 months back without actually reviewing it.(you know you can go for it when it’s JBL!) This thing is absolutely incredible. Tuned to deliver every frequency, from crisp clear highs to audible mids and the bass.. you can feel it running through the floor and then to your body. When you hold it in hand, you can feel the premium build and aesthetically so good that it stands out among my other devices. Recommendable!!

Wonderful speaker though it is small in size. Super bass, fine treble, fantastic mid-range. It is really good for music, movies and podcasts. Battery lasts hours surely. Cons? No aux input. No stereo. No mic. But overall a very good impressive speaker.

Ordered this, was dissatisfied with the sound quality. I'm used to a home theatre. Of course this is small and doesn't sound like a 5K home theatre. It comes with bass radiators which will yield good bass in small systems. But the main problem is at 16.5K price: 1. You get mono sound. 2. Sound quality is a crap. 3. I expect at least 15Ah battery at this price. 4. Doesn't have a strap. The holder or this speaker with strap can be purchased separately which costs 2K!! Overall this speaker is for people who doesn't respect money. I'll expect this exact same speaker at 5K - 7K at most. 16.5K is way too much. I expected more. If you want good IP67 speakers either buy Sony SBS-X13 or buy JBL Flip 4 or 5. Save some money. If you party daily outside, and you're rich, buy 4 - 5 of these and link them for a satisfactory level sound.

Very impressive. Bought this for BBQs, holiday hotels, air bnbs etc. Sound quality is great. I have an amp and Bowers Wilkins speakers at home and the clarity from this is easily as good. It's very mid-dominant but the 3 channel equaliser in the app is useful if you want to tweak the sound, but I mostly leave it in neutral. Sounds fuller indoors as most speakers can't move outside air, but in the garden this does still push out strong bass notes, certainly enough for not drowning out your guests! I am snobby about stereo sound but I think this is fine for it's use, and the soundstage is easily enough. It's portable to a point. Think of it as a bottle of wine without the stem in weight and size. I did consider (and trialled) a flip 7 but the bass isn't anywhere near as good. I might think twice about lugging it on a long walk but to a picnic or in hand luggage then no problem. The finish is rugged but I would worry a lighter material might get dirty and so went for the blue. Looks great. Recommended. For travelling and outdoor use it's the best on the market at this price level.

J'ai acheté cette JBL Charge 5 pour compléter mes deux enceintes Flip 6. Mon objectif était de l'utiliser comme un véritable caisson de basses supplémentaire lorsque je joue, écoute de la musique ou regarde des films. Le résultat est incroyable ! • Son et Basses : Elle délivre un son puissant et des basses très profondes qui ajoutent une dimension impressionnante à l'audio. • Jumelage (PartyBoost) : Le jumelage avec les Flip 6 fonctionne très, très bien et crée un véritable effet "soirée" avec un son stéréo riche. • Qualité : Elle est vraiment étanche (IP67), compacte et la couleur Verte est magnifique et tient parfaitement. Je la recommande fortement ! C'est un produit de qualité supérieure, surtout si vous la trouvez avec des réductions sur Amazon.
