I am revisiting Yes Minister (and later Yes Prime Minister) having first watched this comedy series when it was originally aired and it doesn't disappoint. It is funny, clever and hugely entertaining and has stood the test of time. A true classic British comedy and a gem that has not lost its lustre!

Just as relevant today as it was when it was filmed. Excellent.

It's amazing how little this old faithful has dated. The realities of UK politics are beautifully portrayed - sometimes Hacker gets his way, sometimes the Civil Service prevails. Best to watch Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister Series 1 first, to see how Hacker's political skills develop over time.

Yes Minister is politcal comedy at its best. That is, it manages to satarise the conduct of politicians and senior civil-servants without being partisan and without taking itself seriously. I have yet to see any modern political comedy (so-called) which manages to achieve this.

Hasn't aged at all. Great entertainment with a great cast.

The dvd arrived on 7 August, several days ahead of the seller's minimum estimate. We have played the first part on our all-region player. Excellent acting and picture quality and we look forward to watching all episodes.

this was a series on english tv which we thought at the time was hilarious and spoke volumes of what goes on behind the scenes at the parliament !!
