Men's Maine Promaster Watch JP2000-08E

Well am I glad I finally took the plunge and bought this … absolutely love it! I have a few dive watches, DSSD, PO, SMP, Pelagos .. this new addition is in some very prestigious company and it fits in perfectly! Straight out of the box you can feel the quality on it, it looks fantastic, the size is perfect, it’s clearly legible, the iconic case design is instantly lovable and to top it of it hits the markers perfectly (which has been a problem for me with more expensive quartz watches that didn’t get to stay long) It didn’t take long for me to register the watch with Citizen for the extra 1 year warranty which now stands at an impressive 6 years, then onto the user manual which explains the multitude of features that aren’t going to be used by me but I no doubt will be talking the boys through down the pub sometime soon! This is a proper diver made for a purpose, and I would imagine it carries the job off perfectly. The strap that came with it .. not my thing so that’s been changed for a slightly less in your face silicone two piece. Great watch and a great price! Purchase of the year so far, don’t think about it .. get one!

This watch is true classic. Very beautiful lines. It is rugged and elegant at the same time. Quality stuff, everything is lined up, no QC issues on my second attempt, the first one had a spec of dust in the dial and was sent back. It does not look to be bigon the wrist, which I was concerned about. Although I'm not much into quartz, I have to say, this watch stands out. I have to say it is my favourite watch. Wow, the sand blasting finish is also very nicely done. Don't think twice. It is a true classic.

Wanted one of these since I was a kid back in the 80s. Never going to replace my dive computer, but just for that retro cool factor, I love it. Just out of curiosity, I threw it in the pressure tester along with a modern dive computer, depth readings matched exactly, so its certainly accurate. But a limited number of dive logs (just 4) and quite small depth display, mean it's never going to compete with the modern equivalent. Included strap is a bit stiff and uncomfortable too, drop it on a good MN strap or a NATO/Zulu and you're good to go.

I used one of these watches 22 years ago whilst diving, loved the watch and sadly it gave up ticking after about 18 years of use. I bought the current model for sale and had my doubts whether it would have all of the original features and design of the original. I can say that I am hugely happy with my purchase as it is like putting my old watch on again, I love it. Apart from some minor differences on the back plate, not any to grumble about, its identical, including the ND Times on the wrist strap. I unfortunately don't use the watch for diving anymore but use it all the time for general use and would recommend to anyone who wants an excellent, outstanding "old time piece" to purchase one.

I’m not usually a fan of Citizen Watches but the unusual design of this one along with the Analog/Digital display just grabbed me (& my wallet) by the short & curlies. This quartz caliber C520 watch has a 44mm stainless steel case with a screw down crown & crystal glass. No Q/C issues whatsoever & the 60 click bezel lines up perfectly with the indices & chapter ring. The only negative I have is that the strap width is 24mm, I would have personally preferred 22mm (although I did find a good alternative strap here on Amazon as shown in the picture) Would recommend checking this out if you into dive watches. :)

As nice as the watch is I'm not convinced it the true Citizen brand. It's not as refined as the same watch I purchased many years ago. Cheap strap which doesn't have the citizen logo on it.

It is an icon from 80's, this is a great watch, with it's neutral design it makes it very good for every day wearing. It's size are good enough for reading in low light, I am not a diver so I can't verify it's qualities under water. I had the original model from 1986 and liked it so much and bought this new one, there are very little differences between them, but nothing major, things like the lid at the back used to have screw's, at the front where it reads diver it used to be just DM. So nothing major, still in my opinion still a great watch.

Trage den Klassiker aus dem Hause Citizen nun seit 6 Wochen an meinem Handgelenk, in der Zeit hat sie mich bereits bei ca. 30 Tauchgaengen begleitet. Die Verarbeitungsqualitaet ist absolut perfekt und hat meine Erwartungen uebertroffen, sie brauch sich hierbei nicht hinter meiner Omega Seamaster verstecken. Ausserdem kommt die Promaster Aqualand deutlich schicker daher als auf den Fotos von Amazon abgebildet. Besonders gefaellt mir wie akkurat das Uhrwerk laeuft, der analoge Sekundenzeiger laesst sich uebrigens exakt mit der Digitalanzeige synchronisieren, das laesst einen laecheln. Die Uhrzeit ist auch im Dunkeln gut ablesbar, war die Uhr lange dem Tageslicht ausgesetzt, leuchtet das Lume sogar sehr stark nach. Da ich z.Z. in Suedostasien lebe und sehr haeufig Tauchen gehe, habe ich auch hierbei alle Funktionen ausgiebig getestet, der Tiefenmesser arbeitet sehr genau und die LOG Funktionen der letzten 4 TGs ist hilfreich, der Alarmton fuer zu schnellen Aufstieg ist ueberraschend laut, laesst sich jedoch leider nicht abschalten (z.B. fuer Apnoetauchen). Insgesamt als Back-Up Device eine gute Wahl, einen Tauchcomputer ersetzt die Uhr jedoch nicht, ist aber auch nicht als solcher konzipiert. Ebenfalls, nach dem ersten Auspacken, positiv ueberrascht, hat mich ein im Logbuch gespeicherter Tauchgang in 79m Tiefe, offenbar werden die Taucheruhren bei Citizen vor Auslieferung individuell geprueft. Man bekommt fuer den Preis eine wirklich gute und verlaessliche Uhr, besonders Taucher kommen dank zahlreicher Funktionen auf ihre Kosten. Fuer viele mag die Citizen jedoch zu schwer und globig wirken, die Uhr hat nunmal einen sehr 'tooligen' Look, ist jedoch auch sehr robust und massiv. Ich selbst mag das original Kautschukarmband mit der aufgedruckten Dekotabelle sehr gerne, werde jedoch zusaetzlich ein Nato Strap bestellen, dann macht sie sich auch im Anzug hervorragend. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden und empfehle die Uhr mit bestem Gewissen weiter. Love it.

Muy buen producto, hace más de tres que lo tengo y ni un solo problema y la batería aún funciona. Reloj extraordinario

Orologio originale con confezione da collezione. L'ho regalato ad una persona che 30 anni fa aveva il primo modello. Leggermente più piccolo di dimensioni quadrante rispetto al precedente, ma sempre un Orologio eccezionale

J'avais une des premières (en 1992) et l'utiliser à titre professionnel, elle est Aujourd'hui un modèle historique et classique dans le domaine de la plongée. Certainement un peu de nostalgie positive dans l'air, mais ça fait du bien 😀... Un bon achat, attention toutefois aux non initiés, ce n'est pas un ordinateur de plongée...
