I live in a rural area that has lots of field mice. This is the most effective way I've found to keep them under control. I have one set in my garage, and another one set outside the house. I also have some conventional traps inside the house and garage.The build quality is good.Just the right size for field mice.I do feel like they are maybe slightly overpriced. But I would definitely recommend them.Note: the included wooden ramp is too short if you have a standard 5 gallon bucket. I used some longer wood scraps to make the ramp less steep, and I started catching more mice.

I bought two and have used them for a few years and they are like new.

--Original Review-- 2 Stars -- Very poor quality for a product which is supposedly made in the USA. I've attached photos which show that the adjustment screw doesn't align with the magnet opening, making adjustment impossible. The photos also show how the assembly isn't square, causing the sides to pinch the plank an preventing the plank from returning to it's ready position. I feel like I paid more for a high quality item made in the USA. I should have just gone with the Chinese junk and saved a few bucks.--Updated Review-- 4 Stars ---After reading my original review, the Planky Pro team sent me a newer version of the product. It is all black and appears to be of much higher quality. The parts are aligned properly and the trap works as expected. I'm not sure which product they are shipping now, but the photos on Amazon now look like this all-black version which is new and improved.

This trap was easy to set up and calibrate, but it's absolutely worthless. I get field mice in my shed every week, and in the past, I've successfully used TOMCAT Press 'N Set mouse traps, which would yield 3 dead mice a week. I thought this Walk The Plank trap would be easier to use, and produce more kills. I haven't had one kill in over 3 weeks, even though I move the trap around in my shed. Waste of money. I'm going back to TOMCAT traps.

Was glad that it came with a plank, but it always come loose. The peanut butter, disappears with a falling critter (unless some other vermin, like a cat or squirrel eats it off first????

Works great … the mice line up to take a dip in the pool. I got 4 swimmers in the first 24 hours. Cleaned mice out of my cellar in a week.

If you're a student of mice, you know that they can be tough to herd. But they're also mostly blind. So, the first night I set up my Planky Pro, I had two teenage meece (adolescent mice) who were running wild in my kitchen. And were starting to branch out into other areas of the house.So I set up Planky Pro under a counter in my kitchen and after doing so, while standing there admiring my handiwork, my two little punks came strolling in. I stood stock still and they didn't see me for the fifteen minutes it took for the boldest of the two to do his final swan dive. They went up the ramp and down, tasting the yummy peanut butter at the foot of the diving board, but never venturing out to the end. Up and down, maybe and maybe not. So I left them to their own devices and left the room.Within ten minutes, my bold mouse bid adieu to this world. His more cautious sibling made his dive the next night. Both had been pooping all over my kitchen counters and making me nuts. I hate meeces to pieces!Now life is good. I'll keep my Planky Pro loaded for mouse and ready to go at all times. The quality of the materials is good, and the trap functions as designed. Unfortunately, it did not catch a single mouse for me. Mice would walk across the plank and leave droppings, so I know they were interacting with it, but they never took the bait or triggered the trap.I purchased this hoping for a more durable, long-term solution than my homemade setup. However, my simple cardboard-and-wire-hanger trap has been far more effective. While the construction and design seem solid, it just didn't produce results in my situation. I'll be sticking with my homemade method.

I tried all types of products that you could find on the marketplace on various locations. Nothing really worked except for the glue traps where they get stuck on them, but they were still alive for a few days after they got stuck in them. Finally I tried this product, and you have to adjust it properly for the weight of the mice you're dealing with, and do not hesitate to apply lots of food to the platform and wood plank (I used peanut butter which worked best in my experience). I spent $1000 dollars on pest control companies and many types of products which didn't work at all. (Ultrasound, traditional traps, etc.) When we started to use this bucket trap, within the first 36 hours it contained approximately 30 mice in it. Make sure there is no food available around your house so the trap is the most appealing to the mice. (Keep locked up and sealed in fridge, pantry, etc.) BUY IT. USE IT. GET RID OF YOUR MICE PROBLEM!!!

The product provided 'pro' instructions for set up. You are to adjust a screw to touch a magnet; however the screw provided is too short. I then dug up another screw and inserted, but no adjustment of the position made a change to the pivot point, so it was too easy to tip and not effective. Waste of money. Unfortunately, the return window just closed...

I followed the instructions completely and did not catch a single mouse. There was mouse activity around the wooden plank on the floor however no mice were caught or walked up the wooden plank.

It made total sense & everything on the videos looked like this would work. Perhaps it's just "me" but I was unable to achieve the perfect balance set up with this platform that would be effective. I planted peanuts stuck to the ladder with honey to bait them to the top of the diving board --- all the peanuts & almonds were eaten, including the honey licked off but NO rats or mice trapped inside the deep pail below. Very disappointing. I will try again in the Fall when they all want to come inside again. But unless I get results I would not buy this again or recommend it.
