This one is very durable. Use it all the time with my scooter. Even pick up cucumbers out of the garden. Had the cheap ones and they don't hold up. Would recommend

The is the most useful item in my arsenal of post surgery supplies. I must use it 100 times a day! It is well made and feels quite durable. I've used it for grabbing laundry (you can only get one or two items at a time, but it grabs them well), picking up papers I've dropped, even putting on socks and pants. It has been a lifesaver after my back surgery as I am not supposed to bend, twist, reach or lift. I've found that an iPad is about the weight limit of what it will lift and it's not so great for picking up, say, pillows. But for all of the other every day things it works great. The pincers are strong and I have lifted cans of soda from the top shelf with no fear of dropping them. For something that changes your life profoundly, I think it's a bargain!

Switched back to this old standby model after a week of frustration trying a different brand. The rubber part isn't as grippy as I would prefer, but at least it doesn't hurt my hand to use it. I have 3 of these identical Medline reachers now - 2 new ones bought in 2025, and one old one bought about 10 years ago that's seen daily use and miraculously still works and hasn't broken yet. Just don't try to lean on them or use them as a cane or for tamping down garbage (caught my housemate doing that once!), they're not built for that - they're built to be lightweight and easy to handle.

My husband had another grabber with a handle like this and it was so easy for his hands to use. Then it finally broke and we tried several others with the trigger type handle and he had great difficulty using those due to the neuropathy in his hands. Finally I saw this one and was hesitant to order due to the low cost but we have had it for months now and it works GREAT. He can pick up small and large things both and his hands can grasp the handle with ease.

Quick and Easy

Designed like the original Golden Retriever Grabber, less expensive that a similar model available at Walgreens. I have several scattered throughout my home. Downside: the plastic jaws will break - if you run it over with a power wheelchair, or use it as a pry bar, or pick up something really heavy.

I’ve had this same one for 6 yrs and got this one for my Dad. They are sturdy. I’ve had no problems with it. They work great. I can pick up a quarter with it. I’ve used it to get a glass out of the cabinet and it will pick up a soda can and I’ve even changed a light bulb with it. Great product.

I have brought several different grabs over the years but none were built like this. Works great . looks like it will last a long time. Great for picking up the dogs toys while on the mower.

The Reacher has a good grip on items to be picked up. Useful when picking up prickly cuttings of roses, cactus and other thorny twigs or small branches of plants after pruning.
