Very happy with purchase!
Cuts through foam board like butter!! I bought this because I was skirting the underneath of my motorhome. I had a lot of foam board to cut and didn’t want the mess of cutting it with a knife. Worked like a charm! No mess, clean edges. The foam board put off a strong smell while cutting, I took it outside instead of using indoors. Love that it had a little stand to sit the tool on. Would have loved it more if it was cordless.

Excellent product for cutting styrofoam.
Looking for a tool to cut through foam quickly, easily and mess-free? This is tge product for you! After using this product for only an hour, I'm ready to give it 10 out of 5 stars. I make insulated beds for the stray cats that stay on my property out of styrofoam coolers, so they have a place to sleep and stay warm in the winter. I used to use a utility knife to cut the foam and it got the job done, but it left a mess to clean up after. Not sure why it took me so long to look into a specific tool to use for this job, but I found it with the GOCHANGE Foam Cutter. This foam cutter gets the job I need done in a fraction of the time it took to cut with a utility knife, with zero mess to clean up afterwards! You get three types of cutting tools - two thicker pen-type cutters (short and long) and a bow that uses much thinner wire as the pens, with a spool of extra wire you can use to replace as needed. Simply choose your cutter, snap it into the handle, switch the tool on, wait 10 seconds or less for the pen or wire to heat up, and start cutting. The tool heats up the styrofoam as you move the tool through it effortlessly, no small bits of foam are left behind, and the cut surface is smooth and clean. It's really that simple! The hardest part of using this tool is having a steady hand to make accurate, straight cuts, but that is not a fault of the tool at all! I really wish I would have thought to look for something like this sooner. I purchased this at retail for $30 (at the time of this writing it is 10% off), and it was well worth the price for the convenience, ease-of-use and all the parts included with the kit. Another convenient use for this product I found - if you have foam that has been cut and left a rough edge that continues to shed pieces of foam, you can use this tool to "cauterize" the area - either shave a little bit of the jagged edge off or use the tool to burn the area, and it will stop the shedding of loose pieces of foam. Another reviewer mentioned about fumes given off from the heat and I will agree that this should be used in a well-ventilated area, even wearing a face mask to prevent breathing in any fumes is a good idea. Really the only time I encountered the tool giving off any kind of fumes is when it is turned on and heats up, if there is any kind of residue left on the pen or wire from previous use. The manual says to wipe the tool off with a wet sponge after it has been turned off and cooled down to remove any blackened burnt-on foam; I found this method to be completely ineffective, as once you turn the tool off and it cools down any material burnt on the tool it will not come off easily once it has cooled. I used a dampened paper towel to quickly wipe the tool while it is still on - this was much more effective. If you are going to do this, make sure you use enough paper towel so that you will not burn your fingers, and make sure it is damp!

Product is okay, customer service is lacking
Edit: I have added one star for customer service finally assisting in a solution. After my initial review and a couple more emails I was finally able to get a replacement. It showed up today (sooner than expected) and seems to be working great so far. I love how quick the foam cutter heats up. I really want this to be 5 stars, but the customer service has really ruined the entire experience. The longer of the two straight rod attachments has a lot of give/wiggle at the gold/brass base. The other one does not. I played around with the base trying to tighten the attachment with no luck. I had used the item the second it showed up, and after reading the return policy from the seller (etoopery), I couldn't return it anyway. Which was fine, I didn't want to return the whole kit, I just wanted the one attachment replaced. I sent an email and they said they needed a couple of days to reach out to the vendor/manufacturer and when they replied it was with a photo I couldn't open and a reply telling me that I was able to tighten that base. I had already politely explained that I had attempted the fix and it wasn't successful. I wasn't asking for a whole new device, just the one that wasn't performing on the same level as the other attachments. For the price this should not be a difficult fix. I'm concerned about this one attachment failing and they seem less than concerned with making it right. The other two pieces are great though. I actually need a second kit since I generally like this one so much, but I'll be looking for the same item from a different seller.

One use only?
It sat in the box, unopened, for about a year. Worked great for 10 minutes, then the power supply bit the big one. Rest in peace. One of my few Amazon purchase fails.
