Great for hiking long distances
I love these boots! I have narrow feet so they fit perfectly. I am a 9.5 on my right foot and an 8.5 on my left. I got a 10. It’s a tiny bit tight on my left foot ( with a large thick sock) but perfect on my left. I am wearing them around the house and they feel like my most comfortable sneakers. They fit like a 9.5 so I would definitely size up a size or two if you plan on wearing thick socks. They are super warm. It’s almost freezing outside and I was out and about in them today with thin socks and my feet were cozy warm. I haven’t been in snow or water yet but I will update. The boots are really well made and stylish. They came with extra black laces in case I wanted to switch out the orange ones that are on them now. I like the orange with the green boot though. I have always liked the Columbia boots better than the sorel or north face because they are lighter and easier to walk in. I love to go hiking in the winter so I need a boot that fits comfortably enough to last for miles. I have fibromyalgia and nerve pain from an accident in my left and right ankle so I am super picky about shoes. I would buy these again 100%. I would not buy if you have wide feet. Normal to narrow feet should be just fine.

AMAZING BOOTS
Last night I went to the Chicago Bears game vs. the STL Rams. The temperature was almost below freezing. These boots were incredible. My feet were warm, comfortable, held up great! I order a full size up from my usual size knowing I would have two pairs of wool socks and they still fit comfortably. I would definitely suggest people purchase them. I also thought they were affordable for the incredible quality.

Must have winter boots!!
Super warm and comfortable boots for walking in snow and ice! Runs a little small, though, so I'd be careful to check your size, especially if you want to wear fuzzy/thick socks with them. I usually wear a 6.5, but it was right at my toes, so wearing socks of any kind wasn't going to cut it. I ended up going for 7.5, which is perfect with just a little extra room in case I do want thicker socks. Aside from being very warm, they're also super cute and go well with any winter outfit!

Keep feet dry, have good traction in snow.
Kept me comfortable, dry, and stylish! I purchased these boots to take to Lake Tahoe. It rained, and then it snowed. These kept my feet warm and dry. I recommend 👍

Good for deep snow, good grip, comfortable and warm.
Great boot for midwest winters. I have had a similar pair of Columbia's for over 10 years. Wet feet after the first snow this year let me know it was time for a new pair. I love the height for deep snow. They are super comfortable and warm! Only issue is the 7.5 was a bit too tight so I'm exchanging for an 8. Color is great and they were on sale so a great bargain if they last me another 10 years!

Warm and cute
I am giving it five stars, even though I had to return them. There is a pretty thick insole, but you can replace it with your own orthotic. The right toe is hitting something in the shoe even though it’s a half a size bigger than I normally wear and the left foot fits perfectly, which is the bigger foot so go figure. It’s very flexible and lightweight and warm. It’s a good looking boot and I don’t have big calves, and I can easily wear these boots over pants. I have a bit of wide foot, but I didn’t have to order a wide size for them to feel comfortable so I would say there’s enough to toe room. I wish they fit. I ordered a size 12 so no bigger boot available.

BEST. BOOT. EVER! Great Fit, Great Look, Great Value!
I am so glad I took a chance on these Columbia Minx Mid III Boots! Reviews were all over the board, "They run a little narrow", "they are narrow and run WAY too small - order 1 and a 1/2 sizes bigger than you normally wear". Some were even being snarky and sarcastic, "Have fun with your Columbias, I'll stick with my Sorels" ...Funny thing is, Sorel is owned by Columbia and both make a great boot. I usually order shoes and boots in a size 10 or 11, depending on the brand. Ideally I wear a size 10.5 but its quite rare that a manufacturer bothers to make that size. My foot is an average width and is exactly 10.5 inches or 26.5 cm long from heel to toe, with an average instep. I purchased a couple other "good looking" boots from others brands, but none looked good on me or they felt stiff while walking. I was drawn to this particular boot because some reviewers mentioned how easy they were to walk in and that the shoe part almost felt like a sneaker. AND Columbia is thoughtful enough to recognize size 10.5 wearers! So I went ahead and ordered THREE pairs... a size 10.5, a 10.5 WIDE and a size 11 in the Gray. I thought I'd compare and hope I'd nailed it with one of these... Well the first pair showed up today, the 10.5 WIDE. First I tried it barefoot... It felt like a cozy slipper! Then I put socks on and it was the most amazing fit! I probably could have gotten away with a 10.5 Regular, but I also know its better to have a little wiggle room in a snow boot to create warmth around your toes. Ladies with 10 + sized feet are always looking at how big the shoe/boot makes your foot look. I honestly think my foot in this boot looks quite in proportion, and not big at all. I've attached photos so you can judge for yourself. I immediately went to my orders and cancelled the other 2 sizes. I am confident the 10.5 WIDE is fine and since I had an outdoor outing planned for the next day (see photos), I was ready to commit. ....But I might go ahead and order the black version too!! :) I love how the gray/black/brown fur contrasts with the gray boot a bit to give it a natural fur look, even though I know it's faux fur. And I love the color contrasting LONG laces! They are of higher quality with a bit of give to them, not like cheap stiff laces usually are. Someone referred to the boot designer as "childless"... "what childless person puts laces on winter boots? Zippers are so much more efficient for anyone." Well... laces allow for a custom fit around your foot, ankle and calf! A zipper can't be customized, so the shaft of the boot is always made wider to fit "most" people. I also find how the laces double back behind the boot and tie in the front adds a bit of style. Very cute! I found that once I worked the laces to fit me perfectly, all I have to do is untie the bow and slip my foot out. Putting it back on is the same in reverse. My only disappointment with this purchase is my pair did not come with the extra pair of laces that some mentioned. I'll deduct a virtual half star for that.... The foot area is very flexible, not restricting at all, and allows for a very natural gait. The grips on the bottom remind me of my favorite moccasins. I walked around my house for over an hour wearing the boots out of the box and my feet were very happy... AND WARM! The Omni-Heat technology inside the foot area helps retain heat by reflecting and trapping warmth. It bounces radiant heat from the body instead of letting it escape. Also noticeable is how light weight they are. Amazingly light! I can't wait to wear these outside and go for a walk! I don't know how waterproof they are. That's really been a conflicting point for many reviewers. I noticed they are selling a "First Generation" of the black and the gray. I went with the Newer Generation of the Gray. The photos are identical and I couldn't find anywhere that explained what the difference might be. Are they maybe more waterproof now? I guess I'll find out. EDIT: These boots were so comfy I decided to get the black as well. I took a chance and ordered the 10.5 - NOT WIDE - as it seemed these were roomy enough that I'd also be fine with the Regular width. I was absolutely correct, so these DO NOT RUN too narrow, they are really true to size, IMO. I don't have a narrow foot, it is on the wider side of average. The chart said to get a size 10.5 if your foot is between 10.4 and 10.6 inches long. Mine is 10.5. I do want to mention that in the WIDE version, the calf height is about 1 inch taller than the Regular 10.5 and the toe box is about 1/8 inch wider. All in all, I'm really excited about these boots. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate a minute longer... These are keepers! I hope my review was helpful!

Great quality but disappointing (if you don't have narrow feet, don't bother)
I live in an area where it can snow 9 months a year, so great boots are essential. I've been wearing very comfortable duck boots for ages, which finally wore out. These looked thin enough in the photos to wear in place of shoes when the weather gets really bad - but the fur trim is surprisingly fluffy. They wouldn't look right under regular pants, due to the bulk. They are very well made but the sizing is baffling. I first ordered my usual size and they were very tight, even with super thin socks. They are warm and well-lined with grippy soles and I still wanted to be able to wear them, so I returned them and ordered 1/2 size up, but it didn't help. The larger version was too long and felt like a trip hazard, but inexplicably, they were still tight across. They are just not designed for regular-width feet. Unless you have narrow feet and really like fur, these will probably not meet your needs.
