Blade is covered by a piece of plastic which you have to remove... be very careful as it's very sharp....

Can you get new blades for this?

Don't know but we have laid over 100sqm of uniclick laminate flooring and the blade is as new! Excellent tool has saved hours and my wife has been able to use it too.
