They arrived in good shape (flat) and worked well.
The big orange store no longer caries 7" fiber discs in coarse grits and the price and condition in the store are bad. These discs are a better abrasive, less money, and were in great shape. The plastic shrink wrap kept the discs fairly flat, a necessity for how I use them.I use these on a 5" makita disc sander for sanding and blending painted wood on houses. The oversize disc flexes to feather the old paint. This requires the discs not be curled or warped and I have to carefully balance the disc when I install it on the sander. This is dangerous and I don't recommend it for a novice, but I learned to prep and paint as a pro with the 7" disc sanders and then when the 5" size came out, we switched for a lighter tool with more flex due to the small 5" backing disc. If the disc gets caught between two boards, especially when sanding eaves on a house, it is hell on the wrists and the discs will gouge skin.In the past, we always used AO abrasive, but I figured I would try the zirconia. It held up at least as long as the AO discs. Years ago, I cut two 8" squares from particle board and drilled a big hole in the middle for a long 1/2"x20 bolt. I store my discs between the boards and run the bolt through and put a wing nut on it to clamp the discs flat for storage. This keeps the discs from curling from moisture or heat and can make them work better than new. My order was for 24 grit discs, but if I need others I will order again.

These things are the real deal
I use these on a 7 inch angle grinder with a backer disc. I use it to sand down the seams in the subfloor before installing flooring over the top. It chews through even the highest of peaks in the matter of seconds. The discs last a long time as well. At a little over a buck a piece, it's worth every penny and then some. I would highly recommend for any heavy sanding and sock removal. It is worth mentioning that it kicks up a ridiculous amount of saw dust which when in the air is absolutely miserable. Because I do alot of this, I took the initiative of setting myself with a hepa vac and a dust shroud to extract the dust. This is not cheap. I just wanted to mention it so everyone is aware if they intend on using these for this purpose

Best sanding disks for removing paint and cleaning wood.
I am cutting through 5+ coats of old paint with this 25 grit. It is also lasting 4 times longer than other disks. I am repainting a 100 year old house and am at the end of the job - these are what I wish I had in the beginning of the job.

Excellent wear rate
Excellent wear rate. Used primarily for grinding down pallet wood bottom slats to level out and knock down rough hewn. Hard to find 24 grit pad of this quality. Big box retailers don’t even offer this level grit. Black Hawk has become my go to for sanding pads for angle grinders, orbital, palms and belts

These disks are Beastly when installed on a good grinder. They also seem to have good durability and don't clog like many I have used in the past. Definitely a reorder item.

Work great with orbital Clark edger.
Does a great job on sanding subfloor and takes nail/screw heads down fast. Discs last a long time. Downside is the discs are not good on glue and epoxy. Papers gum up fast.
