Cirque Du Soleil: Volume 2 [DVD] [2004]

We saw Saltimbanco at Star City in Birmingham in 2005 (I think!). It was as if you were in a dream for the whole performance. The music, the singing, the lights all contributed to the dream. It was a performance so entrancing that we would have gladly stayed the whole week if it had been on for a week. We were in Vegas the following year where three of the hotels have Cirque du Soleil shows on but much higher admission charges than Brum. This year in February we were in Auckland NZ and missed the Cirque show by one week. A definite must next time we are within shouting distance of any of their shows.

We have bought most of the Cirque Du Soleil discs & have reviewed others, the same comments apply to this disc set. Add to previous comments that the box sets are also terrific value for the price, don't worry about the odd duplication of discs, they make brilliant, unusual gifts for the most unlikely people. One of our 6yr old grandsons requested Cirque Du Soleil for Easter instead of chocolate & watches them as often as he ever did the Telly Tubbies as a baby.

Ok product. Not all the shows are worth watching again. Good value though.

The circus that will never die out, no animals are used but the acts are truly stunning, it must be said that the owners must vet these acts to ensure they get the best possibly in the world and most of the performances tell a story which is easy to follow whatever the language. A real treat

This company have taken the world of circus to new levels ( and no animals were injured in the shows making-unless they were human!!) At times the show slips into the world of cabaret or review but then along comes another moment that takes your breath away. This is physical theatre at its very best.

As described and delivery was prompt.

Cirque is the best!
