From Vacant to Engaged (Practitioners' Guides)

Not that great. Doesn't teach me anything about changing children from vacant to engaged just how to get an out an activity following planned needs

I have got so many ideas from this book giving ideas in detail about how to improve practice and although most of the ideas may be on his website in different places. I would say it is really handy to have in one refrence book.

ABC is a master of how Early Years should be. Getting 'die hard' practitioners on board is something else!!! His books make it very much more simple for non- advocates to embrace and understand. The practitioners still need strong, lead by example leaders in order to motivate and understand the thinking.

This is a good book for those new to ABC and his blogs but nearly everything can be got for free from the blog. It is handy to have a paper copy though. Only other downside is that it is so expensive.

Fantastic reading material. This is a useful book for experienced and new teachers and early years practitioners alike. Fantastic writer who knows what they're talking about!
