For me, Free and Easy Wanderer is God sent!
A student in a Masters degree program in Classical Chinese Medicine, I decided to try this herbal preparation based on the suggestion of a professor. Due to past trauma, I’ve struggled to adequately manage depression and anxiety for many years. I’ve tried a variety of different types of treatment including talk therapy, prescriptions, herbal supplements, etc. “Free and Easy Wanderer” has turned out to be effective in my case and without the side effects of the prescriptions like SNRI’s, SSRI’s, Wellbutrin, etc. The “Plus” version includes herbs that assist in dissipating “excess heat” (in Chinese medicine terms), which is beneficial for me as I have psoriasis (which Chinese medicine points to as an excess heat condition). I’ve tried both the traditional form of this supplement as well as the “plus” version, and find them to be equally effective in treating my depression and anxiety. Before, I struggled with being consumed by negative thoughts, dwelling and ruminating on the past events. Free and Easy Wanderer has really helped me mentally set aside all of that and focus on the positive aspects of life. I take 8 of the tiny “tea pills”, three times daily. The cost is about $1.50 per day, and I haven’t felt this calm and ‘centered’ in years. As far as side effects, I found the tea version of Free and Easy Wanderer to make me a bit drowsy immediately upon consumption but the I haven’t noticed any drowsiness from taking the tea pills. Rarely do I experience insomnia but if I do want to get drowsy, tea is easy to make by dissolving the tea pills in hot water using a strainer or mesh “tea ball”. I hope to be practicing acupuncture when I complete the Masters program and the state Board licensing exam, and when I do, I’ll be recommending Free and Easy Wanderer to patients who experience ongoing mental impacts from events in their life. In my opinion, it has proven to be more effective than prescription drugs, it is inexpensive, and I am experiencing no side effects from taking the full recommended dosing regimen. If you decide to try this, don’t give up on it too soon. It isn’t psychoactive, so you won’t “feel” any effects (aside from drowsiness, perhaps), but if you stick with it for a while others around will likely notice that you are calmer and in a better mood most of the time. I recommend at least a month of consistent, regular dosing before passing judgement on effectiveness. I decided to learn Chinese medicine to help others find an improved quality of life. Free and Easy Wanderer has helped me find that, and I hope this review will be useful to others looking for help with their own struggles for peace and tranquillity.

Quality Herb
This herb works! I got the product because I had ALOT of stress and wasn’t able to be calm and focus. I did the research to see which herb helps with trauma, and this is the herb and the manufacturer has created a QUALITY product. Make sure you take the recommended amount and be consistent with taking them. I had a friend going through an intense time and gave him a bottle, same result; calming of the body and mind. They work subtly so don’t expect a noticeable reaction within hours. It takes days and then you realize you’re more calm.

Worth the money
Love these tea pills. My acupuncturist had me taking dan xi xiao yao san and unless I'm mistaken jia wei xiao yao wan is a different name for dan xi xiao yao san.... in terms of the formula they are the same except this brand has a few more herbs in its blend. There is talcum in this formula but talcum is on the list of probable carcinogens because of the effect it has when inhaled (not consumed) in large quantities, any dust inhaled in large quantities is harmful to ones health. And to put it in perspective, really hot water and really cold water are also on the list of probable carcinogens. Anyway, I can really see why it's called "free and easy wanderer" I definitely think this is helping me stay mindful of my thoughts and manage the ol monkey brain. This might be TMI for some but taking these has reduced the number of days in my menstrual cycle from 30 to 28 (sometimes 27) which has resulted in less cramping (which was a big issue for me), and a better mood around that time of the month (and all of the time, honestly). I asked my midwife if having a shorter cycle because of these herbs could be unhealthy and she didnt seem to think that was likely. I only take 8 pills 2 times a day because I'm on a budget but if life became more stressful I think I would up my intake to the recommended 8 pills 3 times a day. Would also agree with others who have suggested reserving judgement until you've taken these for at least a month, especially if your trying these for their anti anxiety effect. For me these are definitely worth every penny.

Very effective and better than another brand of the same formula.
I am in my 40s with a history of depression. By my choice, I no longer take prescription medications because I don't like their side effects. I have been taking this formula from a different brand for a while now with some relief. During the past few months, after a major loss in my life, I went into a depression that I was having a hard time coming out of. My acupuncturist recommended increasing the dose of this formula and adding a second formula which is called Gan Mai Da Zao Pian. To save money I ordered this larger size of the Plum Flower brand. Within less than a week I was feeling much better: more energy, sleeping better, less depressed. I actually think that the Plumflower brand is better than the other brand that I was taking. I do not believe the second formula is offered by this brand, but if anyone out there is suffering from depression I would recommend looking up that second formula and ordering a bottle. I take four pills of that twice a day along with the free and easy wanderer, of which I take six pills three times a day.

My acupuncturist refers to is as the “happy” pill. It does help me with my stress and anxiety. Helps to calm me down. Recommend this product.

Terrific!
I began taking Free and Easy Wanderer Plus at age 42. I am now 64 and still take it daily. It helped me survive menopause. Keeps me sane. Really it does! I was troubled by my quick temper and negative thoughts that began rather suddenly as I was approaching menopause in my 40's. I was beginning to not recognize myself and felt out of control. My naturaopathic physician recommended it. With F&EW+ I feel like myself and have a normal range of emotions and reactions. Doses have been between 8-20 teapills 2x/day, depending on what is going on in life.
