An emotional, page-turner winner
I read over a hundred books last year (some better than others), but if I could give an award to my favorite book of 2017, this one would be the winner. I had never heard of the author before, but the book description and glowing reviews made me want to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! It definitely deserves all the praise it gets. The story grabbed me from the first page, and it was impossible to put down. In fact, I read it twice in the same weekend, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around.I thought the story would be some kind of a light YA romance, but it turned out to be a lot more. I enjoyed everything about it, but what I loved the most was:- The main character, Hadley, and her bravery and strong determination to save her classmate Archer’s life at all costs, for no reason other than because it was the right thing to do. Her selflessness, kindness and dedication to those she cares about were inspiring. I also loved her sense of humor and how unassuming and humble she was.- Archer Morales. The story revolves around him, yet we get to know him not by his words, but by his actions. He didn’t open up to others easily, yet despite his tough exterior and often rude attitude towards Hadley, he comes across as extremely vulnerable and tender hearted, and that made him incredibly appealing. It was also funny to see him trying to resist Hadley’s charms and slowly come out of his hard shell.- Death. You can’t help but to be sympathetic towards him despite everything.- Archer’s family. All the members of his large, loving family were interesting characters on their own.- How the faith of the characters was portrayed respectfully rather than being ignored or mocked.- The story’s main idea of how a little kindness towards somebody can really make a difference in that person’s life.Definitely can’t go wrong with this story, I only wish it had been a lot longer, I didn’t want it to finish. :)

A delightful and thought-provoking debut!
In 27 Days follows Hadley Jamison as she meets Death after a classmate commits suicide. Death offers her a deal to send her back in time 27 days to save his life - but little does Hadley know that messing with the past isn't as easy as Death makes it seem. Now she must decide if she's willing to risk everything - even her life - to keep Archer safe.First of all, I adore the romance in this book. It's subtle and believable, and Archer Morales is now one of my #1 all-time book boyfriends. He's this glorious mix of sarcastic and grumpy and awkward and swoonworthy ... (sigh) Hadley is also a very realistic heroine, in that she has doubts and fears and generally doesn't know how to handle everything after her deal with Death. Which, honestly, is how I'd probably be in her shoes. AND I love the twists and turns throughout the book: events don't always turn out the way you expect, and it's awesome to see how the characters react to different (and unusual) stimuli.Plus, this book has one of the HOTTEST almost-kiss scenes I've ever read. *fans herself* Talk about romantic tension! Highly recommended for fans of YA contemporary, especially those who want just a dollop of paranormal thrown in. :)

An Enjoyable Read
The narrator, a privileged girl in a private school in NYC makes a deal with Death to rewrite the suicide of a classmate, by going back in time 27 days and altering his future. How getting to know Archer changes not only his life, but hers as well, makes an entertaining YA story. Told from the perspective of a 16 year old, the observations are understandably superficial. It should appeal to readers of the same age and level of maturity.

One of my favorite books!!
I read this book on Wattpad before it was even published!! It was a great story and I was ecstatic when I found out that this was published. I have read this book more times than I can count and it always captivates me. I always find something new about it every time I read it. It is such a great story, good character development, great romance, and a good structure. The whole concept itself was very well thought out. I bought the hard copy years ago and forgot to write a review about it, oops! I wanted to support the author and own my very own copy of this book. I will treasure it and always have it on a special place on my bookshelf. <3

I was engrossed. This is a must read.
I read this whole book in about three hours last night. The details of every character and the picture she paints while writing just plays the book out as a movie in my head. I’ll definitely be reading this again and again.

Chefs Kiss!!
This book was such a page turner, finished it in two days and it took me through a roller coaster of emotions! Seeing the characters transpire and change throughout the story was amazing, had the perfect touch of the found family trope as well as enemies to lovers. This is saying something because I HAVE NEVER written a review for a book until now, and I’m a pretty avid reader. Great book, but does have some typos that can be overlooked.

soulmates love story
5 FREAKING STARS for Hadley weaving her way into Archer's heart! I absolutely love this novel since it's Wattpad days! One of the first books I ever read on Wattpad and I was super excited to hear that it is being published.I love love Hadley and they way she selflessly went on to save Archer. She is a saviour and an angel - a friend that everyone needs. The novel is based on a sensitive topic of suicide, but the way Alison wrote the novel was beautiful. I could feel Hadley's emotions and though Archer is shown as a rude and cold-hearted individual, as Hadley enters his life she is able to see a side in him no one sees at school.Their love story is so natural and did not feel forced. Hadley's purpose in Archer's life was to save him. I'm not a big fan of paranormal romance, but I loved the character development of Hadley and Archer.

Incredibly moving and written beautifully
This book is unlike any other I’ve read, I’ve never felt the emotions of a plot as deeply as this one. It’s written beautifully, and while containing elements of fiction and fantasy, I found it very relatable. Parts of the story were almost healing in the way they were written, at least for me, I couldn’t put it down and read it all in one sitting.
