Works well on stubborn buildups.
This works surprisingly well. I let my saltwater pool fall into disrepair for 2 years, and I tried this product for the first time. Followed the instructions and wore gloves. Be very careful not to set Scotch Brite or a sponge on concrete, as it will discolor it. Also, be very careful to not the product rundown a sidewall directly onto plaster because it will perform an unintended acid wash.

I guess it depends...
I have read bad reviews of this product, but how you maintin your pool matters. If you're content to wait until mineral deposits are caked and hard and your white grout turns brown - of course it's not going to work. I descale every summer and Bio-Dex works like a charm! I drain the water below the tile line and apply the solution (I use a spray bottle) on dry tile in 5' sections. I found that the pour nozzle doesn't allow for even coverage. Let it set for a couple minutes (DO NOT LET IT DRY) and I brush with a nylon head on a waterproof electric spin scrubber. Keep the hose handy, you need to rinse off that residue after you scrub it.

Didnโt remove calcium like we hoped and read about.

Bio-Dex for calcium on pool tiles
It works getting calcium deposits off of pool tiles. It does take several applications along with some scrubbing though.

Does not work and way over priced
A waist of $26. My pool is less then a year old and the water line isnt bad but I wanted to take care of it before it becomes bad.... this product didn't do anything....

Great stuff!
I have white tiles. Brown calcium line , with brown in-between the tiles in the grout. I rubbed this stuff on with a paint brush, taking my time and going in a different directions. It took me about an 2 and a half hours to just do the spa but man it looks good. It takes time and elbow grease, but it does the job for sure. I'll probably do this semi-annualy so the next time I dont have to rub as long.

Works for white build up on tile!
I have white scale buildup all around my pool that has glass tile. See pictures, but brush it on with a paint brush let it sit for like 5 min then I scrubbed with a small wire brush that connects to the end of my pool handle. For heavy scale buildup up you will need to do it a few times.
