I bought it to relieve pressure on my husband's private parts when he sits in his power chair for long periods of time. This seems to be working. I am still adjusting to his transfers because the cushion deflates temporarily in the front as he goes from chair to bed.

The only problem had with it is if I bent down to lift up the footplates on my wheel chair, I was essentially sitting on only the front section. All the air in the front got squeezed to the back and I was in danger of sliding out. Actually one time I did and after that learned a lesson and now be sure I have something in front of me to push on if I am sliding out.I did try the lower profile one and the one with the foam front but quickly got sore, but this was a problem with the new wheelchair I was using which only had a flat plate for a seat.
