Decubitus AnteaMED Kit with air Mattress and Pump with Regulation

This is a very good quality pressure mattress and for the price you can’t go wrong.They’ve obviously been imported from Italy as they have an EU plug. I read a review on here that all you need is a kettle lead so I bought a kettle lead too. I’m a bit annoyed at that reviewer as you can’t change the lead it’s fixed. All you need is an EU to U.K. socket adaptor.The mattress itself is beige vinyl with a control unit and two air leads between the two. It’s designed to sit on top of an existing normal mattress. It has vinyl each end to tuck under the mattress and it’s washable if needed. The cells alternate in pressure so the unit deflates one whilst inflating the one next to it and so on. Takes the pressure off body areas every 6 minutes in a cycle. It can be a bit sweaty if you only put a thin sheet over. I use only a stretchy bottom sheet but I haven’t been cold since. The control unit hooks onto the bed frame and it is no louder than a fish tank pump. Comes with a repair patch but I bought a pool patch kit just in case.The dial on the unit is from 1 to 10 which sets the hardness of the mattress. I have it on a setting between 2 and 4 and that’s enough.My doggies jump on the bed and it’s been fine as the vinyl is very thick. Also if you’re travelling you can fold it up and take it with you.I’ve slept really well since having this too. Very good quality for the price.EDIT : After using this for several weeks I thought I’d give an update. Don’t be tempted to turn the mattress round to have the air inlet tubes near the head. They’re meant to be at the bottom of the bed as I found out. If you turn it round it’s really loud and you can actually hear the air being forced into the mattress. Not pleasant at all. Having the unit near the head end is fine though just not the air inlet tubes.I still get a lovely nights sleep and my doggies love sleeping on it too.

This airbed was ordered at the height of my post surgery recovery suffering and its benefit was felt immediately. The quality of the product is amazingly robust for the price. It is with no exaggeration that I say the relief it provided was in no way dissimilar to the £5000 plus hospital air bed I occupied for three nights whilst at The Royal Marsden. This in no way takes away from, or denigrates, the quality of beds found in hospitals where they are obviously made to a medical grade, higher standard. It's just did what I expected and hoped it would.This is probably the first ever review I've left on Amazon, and probably the third ever across the internet. I just don't do them, but felt I had to say thanks to the company for providing a product that gave so much relief (and still does).Separtely, the power unit operates fairly quitely and is barely noticeable ordinarly, not least whilst watching TV, DVDs etc. The actual mattress is made of quite thick material. I feel it would take something quite forceful to puncture it, other than general wear and tear over time, perhaps years. And it came in the most tiniest of boxes, to the extent I initially feared I received the wrong product. Be aware: this is a product made in Italy with an Italian plug, so you will need a travel plug adapter.Just, thanks to Decubits AnteaMED for this product.As an aside, I lived in Italy in the 90s and the quality of this product is indicative of two noticeable things I picked up about that nation whilst there - they just do not play with or take for granted (a) quality of food and (b) quality of health. These two areas, which both relate to quality of life, are (or were) first class. It shows in this product.

I bought this for my mum as she was uncomfortable sitting and sleeping in bed. The bed and the honeycomb effect was uncomfortable so covered to make it more comfortable and mum loved it. No longer needed an electric blanket as this bed blows warm air through it. Would recommend for anyone who has back problems and cannot lie for long in one position.

I bought this as I have a pressure sore, but also areas over my hip bones that just hurt like hell when I lie directly on them. (I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) needed something to ease the pain overnight, even sleeping on a literal cloud (temper cloud mattress and a dormeo octaspring topper) didn't relieve the pain as much as I hoped, so sort of ummed over this for a while before deciding to give it a shot. I don't have it turned up any higher than about 5, else it's a bit weird, picture sleeping on a melting aero bar, it's a bit weird, turn it down a bit and that effect lessens greatly. There is some noise, it's minimal, on par with the pump bit of a home fishing tank. You know it's there, it's not enough to keep you awake, the more I use it the more it's like white noise as I go to sleep, I don't mind the low level noise at all. We have it on our superking bed, and it covers my side really well, more than enough topper to tuck it in at the top and bottom of the mattress, though you may want deeper sheets to account for it. Adds no more than 2-3 inches at a guess, but I do find it has helped both with the pressure sore and the hip pain, so I get a more peaceful sleep.The price is really good for the type of product it is, I doubt you'd find it lower, good all round entry level pressure relief to see if its likely to help before committing to perhaps a more expensive one. I'm really happy with it, I'd buy another tomorrow if it developed an issue, worth every penny in my opinion.

Ayant des soucis au dos et étant fibro sa apaise les douleurs le faites qu'ils se gonfle et se dégonfle c'est top .cela fait presque 2 mois que je l ai et je suis satisfaite je recommande.

Molto silenzioso quasi impercettibile il rumore del compressore.Facile da installare con i risvolti sotto il materasso per non farlo spostare.Speriamo abbia effetti benefici sulla circolazione sanguigna ma soprattutto sulla prevenzione delle temibili piaghe.Ha anche il kit di riparazione.Soddisfatto dell’acquisto al momento.Vedremo la durata.

Se averió el motor de la colchoneta antiescaras que teníamos para mi familiar. El importe de un motor de repuesto superaba, en mucho, al de este producto (colchoneta+motor), por lo que, decidí comprarlo. El aspecto de la colchoneta es similar a la que teníamos ya y el motor de este producto es muchísimo mas silencioso, por lo que, el descanso del familiar será mas confortable. En cuanto a duración, no puedo pronunciarme pero por la presencia diría que durará. Ah! también trae un parche y tubito de pegamento por si sufriera algún pinchazo. Mi consejo es que si estáis buscando una colchoneta antiescaras para una persona dependiente que precisa de cambios posturales, como es mi caso, la compréis. Todo lo que encontreis es más caro. La que tenia en casa ya costó hace unos 6 años 150 euros.
