Great PretendersReversible Dragon/Knight Cape for Kids, S/M | 2-in-1 Costume for Imaginative Play

I was a little scared when I opened this because of it's size (size med 3-8yrs old). It looked like it would be too small in the neck for my 3 year old and the packaging it came in was very small. Boy was I surprised! I tried it on my 8 year old with a big neck and head (also bought matching helmet...see my review there,too) and it fit with room to grow. It has an 18" neck. The cape doesn't come all the was around the front of the shoulders but I don't think it was supposed to. I will try to get pictures posted soon.Let me just say, the fabric is awesome and the pictures don't do it justice. It's very soft but has a small amount of texture to it. The dragon side looks like scales and the knight side like chain-mail. It is VERY shiny, which surprised me. So this is where I may leave you shaking your head...the fabric is light but dense. It's not heavy but has weight to it. It compresses up nicely and doesn't wrinkle (awesome if you hate wrinkles AND ironing).I must also say, my 8 year old loved it. I cound't get him to take it off. He was just as excited about it as I hope my 3 year old will be when he sees it on Christmas. I may have to buy another set!My only complaint about it is the dragon spikes are made of a felt that feels cheap. Not as quality as the rest of it. I am excited to see my 3 year old's reaction. A knight and a dragon...best of both worlds!

These are very shiny, well made and adorable. I've used them for a year in my kindergarten room for dress up and they still look new.

I made this purchase after becoming aware of the Great Pretenders line of children's costumes. The gift shop at Casa Loma in Toronto, Canada, had thse items which were a creative addition to their product lines. At Casa Loma the items were pricey, but the online price at Amazon was quite reasonable particularly because this cape is doubled sided and well-made. Still the item's price makes it a luxury item for children's play. The cloth shield emblem on the "knight's side" and the raised felt spikes on the dragon side make this item reasonably priced. If the shield had been just a screen print, I would have been disappointed.

This cape is almost perfect. My son has been wanting a knight costume for a while so I figured I’d get this for Halloween/dress up. We’ve seen it in person so knew it would be super soft and shiny. And now the cape includes the hood which is awesome- it used to be a separate purchase. However, for something reversible I was pretty disappointed that the tags are quite visible when using it on the knights side. I will attempt to remove them but am sad that it looks like you’re wearing it inside out when it’s clearly meant to be its own costume. My son loves it so much - he’s 4.5 and it fits great.

I like that it's easy to put on, and not heavy material. Perfect for a little boys imagination!

As a present for a 4th birthday I was worried about the sizing but S/M equals 4-5 years so it fits great, also around the neck. Would not buy a size smaller, neither for a smaller kid because a S/M will still fit them and will last longer.A good looking cape. One happy kid.

bought this cape for my nearly 2 year old son (his sister got a slightly different one)... They both love playing with it! I love that its reversible too, its like getting two capes for the price of one! The material feels like good quality material and not flimsy... If you're wondering about size my 22 month old son is 50th percentile for height and this comes down to about his ankles so there's room for him to grow but my daughter who is 5 can also still wear this without it being too short yet... I'd highly recommend adding this to any child's dress up box!

Excellent quality fabric! Two costumes in one -- dragon and knight/king/prince on the reverse! The silver fabric doesn't get that scratched, worn look that I've seen on other silvery costume fabrics. It is high quality and Creative Education of Canada attests to the fact that they look for the best fabrics that will endure the test of children! As far as I am aware, most (if not all) of CEofC products are made IN Canada, not overseas - great! Be sure to purchase the coordinating dragon/knight helmet/hat that goes with this cape. You won't be disappointed! Great products!

Purchased for grandson ,he has had so much fun already from them .Great for using imagination ,and enjoyment for hours .
