I'm happy with them, they fit my dishwasher-rack prongs and weren't too difficult to install. The price was right too. I'm glad I didn't by the prong caps that are longer, because these fit just fine, and were probably less work to install. In addition to protecting from rust, they also hold my dishes more securely on the rack. A couple of tips for installing: I used a piece of rubber grip to hold the cap, and then twisted the cap back and forth to shimmy them on the prongs. It's a tight fit, so you need to finagle it a bit. It took a little time and patience, but was not hard. Also, some of my dishwasher rack prongs were swollen from rust (seriously! pathetic!), so for those I slightly stretched the prong cap with the tip of a pen to enlarge it a little before installing. It's unfortunate that Whirlpool made my dishwasher racks so cheaply that the prongs rusted before a year was up. But it's fortunate that these prong caps fix it relatively painlessly and inexpensively.

These little caps really work well, but are not pliable at room temp. Follow these step to success. Step 1: Soak the caps in a dish of HOT water for about 5 minutes (improves cap pliability). Step 2: Once the caps are pliable (squeeze to test), quickly scoop out ONE CAP AT A TIME from the hot water, and wiggle it immediately onto the tip of the dish rack. Step 3: Repeat this process until all tips are covered. I had NO problems with the caps splitting or not fitting because I followed this process. And my dishwasher racks are no longer scratching up anything being washed. Since the caps come in a unit of 200, I have fixed up a number of friends and family with these caps and THEIR dishwasher racks are functioning better too. This is an inexpensive way to extend the life of your dish rack or cover the ends of any other wire racks you may have in your household. Great solution to my needs.

Bought the for the racks on my old dishwasher. Coating was pealing and starting to rust. Most of them stayed in place. For some strange reason they would pop off the upper rack. Would recommend as a fix.

The worn tines of my dishwasher rack were leaving horrible rust marks on the backs of all my dishes These little caps were the good fix --without replacing the rack and/or the entire machine. The caps were not overly difficult to apply. SOAK THEM IN HOT WATER FIRST! After a month of washes, none have popped off, although two have "blown out" (cracked) and had to be replaced. Thankfully, there were plenty in the package. A great $10 solution to a very unpleasant problem!

First off we’re renting. The dish washer belongs to the home owner. Asking for fixes = increase in rent, right? Top of the wire rack were melted away leaving rusty ends at the top. Our ceramic dishes were getting the rust marks when they leaned on the rusty tips during the cycle. These were easy to put in with minimal force. And have kept up through 4 washes so far. Dishes are protected. Don’t need to purchase an $80 rack. Don’t need a new washer. These were just what I needed.

We got a new dishwasher in 2017 and the prongs are already showing signs of rust. I was concerned that they were scrapping our dishes, so I ordered these prong covers. These are really a temporary fix. If you want them to stay on, plan on using some glue. We are going to save the rest of the bag to put on the prongs if/when we resell the house. In the meantime, I will be looking into other solutions. PROS: - Easy to install on non-rusty prongs, they just slip right on. - Make your dishwasher interior look like new! - Prevent rusty prongs from scratching your dishes/plastic wear. CONS: - Can discolor. I washed plates after spaghetti and now they are all pink. - Do not fit over prongs that have "exploded" rust. You will have to file the prongs down for these to fit. - Slip off just as easily as going on. They fall off almost daily. - If you put small things on the prongs, they pull these covers right off. - Choking hazard for babies and toddlers.

I had purchased this a year or two ago to cover some of the dishwasher tines that were getting exposed and rusty on the top. I had a very positive experience with this product and finally had two of the tips split, which wouldn't have been a problem since I still had over half the pack left... unfortunately it is MIA somewhere in my workshop. Instead of spending an additional hour looking, it was much cheaper to buy another pack of these. Installation was easy, I had no trouble with the first pack and my wife added the new ones on her own. Way much cheaper than buying a new dishwasher rack. (I did try the liquid coverup for the dishwasher rack as well and liked it, but it does have a strong chemically smell)

I bought them because the tip metals on the rack were rusting. after installing these and washing twice, rust seemed to have permeated through the material. For the function of covering rusty tips (which I think is their function), they are worthless. They also serm to come off, as I had to replace a couple. They fit pretty tight on the diameter on my rack.

Easy to use and made my dishwasher look like new without the huge cost.
