Great kettle. My last one was cheaper and tinny. This is lovely looking, solid and effective. The whistle shuts as soon as you've put the kettle down again so no danger of leaving it open when you set it back on the hob and accidentally re-boiling. It has a good loud persistent whistle that'll wake the neighbours but that's fine as I've now learned not to leave it alone when boiling as it boils so fast. Very pleased so far.

Love this kettle. Looks great golds lots of water and has a pleasant whistle..not a horrid shrill one. Saw reviews that people had discolouration..this this may be in gas hobs and maybe using a too bigger ring to heat so the flames go up the sides ( just speculating as had this problem before when I was younger). I have an electric hob and place it on a ring slightly smaller than the size of the kettle. Heats well. Easy to fill..the lid is easy to pull off too. The handle opens the spout lid aswell which I like as keeps your hand away from the steam.

I like the kettle immensely and above all my parents like the kettle as well. I purchased the kettle for them as a replacement as the electric kettle they had, just stopped working. I changed the fuse to a new one but still not working. I filled the kettle with cold water and put on the gas hob for the first boil, when the kettle gathered enough steam, it began to whistle and boy does it have a loud audible whistle. The kettle seems to be very sturdily made, and has bit of weight to it, but the weight is manageable if you are making a cup or two or more. The kettle is very stylish, and I hope it last a very long time, before I have to purchase another one. All in all, its great value for money.

Love the handle control for the spout cover that saves me from being scalded. Kettle looks good on my worktop and seems to perform well. Good price too!

Bought this whistling kettle for our static caravan, to use on gas cooker. It is half filled every time it gets boiled, and fully emptied when we come home. Love the style and shape of it, and it's easy to use and fill. Had it a year and after 5 holidays ranging from a weekend to a week long, the base inside is pitting. Never had a kettle do this before. Don't know if it's just psychological but I swear the cuppas taste different now! Maybe it's just the Surrey water tastes different to Northumberland water.

Sadly I have to return this item. Of late, I avoid posting negative reviews, however in this case my experience may prevent people with gas hobs repeating my mistake. On the positive side, this is a large contemporary stylish looking kettle, in my view. It holds plenty of water. It's easy to use. The handle did get hot and Kitchen craft do recommend you use it with oven gloves at all times but I didn't and I was able to hold and operate the kettle's handle easily enough. On the negative side, I purchased the grey coloured model after reading reviews that the white model's exterior coating burned after use. The grey model burned the very first time I used it despite taking care regarding the size of flame etc.. The uncomfortable smell of burning plastic was present which I first thought was down to the newness of the kettle, but it was actually the exterior burning. Additionally, in my home, the volume of the whistle was low, and difficult to hear, in my opinion, especially if you are playing music or just having a conversation. To boil 400ml of water took just over 3 minutes, which didn't really bother me at all. I think the Product description should be changed to warn owners of gas hobs - I am of the view that this kettle is not suitable for use on a gas hob based on my direct experience and also taking into account the comments of other reviewers, which I should not have ignored in the first place🙃 Maybe electric hob users will have a more positive experience (no pun intended).

Deserves 5 stars for its design and quality however mine you could hardly hear the whistle so faint so i did return it and will purchase a replacement as all reviews said the whistle was a good level .

Kettle looks good, has good capacity and does the job well. Should save me a few pounds on the electricity bill.

Llegó en perfectas condiciones y es tal y como aparece en las fotos. Uso muy sencillo y muy buen resultado. Muy recomendable

Hermosa e igual a la descripcion, muy buen producto. la he utilizado varias veces en cocina Vitro y no he tenido ningun problema de manchas, etc como acusado por otro comprador, pero puede ser que el motivo sea el tipo de cocina.
