Burg Wächter Compact - Black

I purchased this item late last year, and after completing home renovations finally installed last week.There's a gap on the seam on the top right which allows water ingress.I've tried using tape to seal it and even adjust the hanging angle to try and prevent it but am consistently opening it to pools of water and soggy letters.Unsure if it's a defect to my specific mailbox or a product wide fault.Will need to be replaced with another - and this was one of the more expensive mailboxes listed.

For the price, I was expecting something more substantial in terms of being waterproof which this is not if wind and rain facing. Size for A4 letters OK and it is lockable. There are a couple of drainage holes in the bottom but these need expanding and a third added where water might collect, in my case. Door not a snug fit which also doesn't help matters. Needs working on!

NOT waterproof. Leaks bad.Even after I sealed all possible gaps/folds in metal with a ton of sealant.Don’t waste your money.

Annoyingly this product is not weatherproof as stated in the description. The first shower of rain left a pool of rainwater in the bottom off the box and so I will be returning it.

Quality

The post box arrived on time in good packaging and it is exactly what we needed. It can take an A4 envelope but not 3 or 4 of them at the same time due to the size of the opening.The post is always dry if it rains.
