BandaiHobby 1/144 HGAW Gundam Airmaster Gundam X Model Kit

I've built few gunpla from Gundam X and this by far is the second best rivaling to the Gundam XX. the Gundam Airmaster is a transformable gunpla that can convert the Gundam to its distinctive air combat mode. Unlike the newer transformable 'part formers' or gunpla that forces you to deconstruct 3/4th of the original body and replace it with the jet mode part, the Gundam Airmaster only needs to remove 2 or 3 parts (mainly the head) for it to achieve the air combat mode.However despite that single flaw, it is certainly good to pose.

Bought this for my son as a Christmas present, he's 8. Had a great time putting it together with him. He loved the fact that he got to build his own action figure. I've put together probably 5 Gundam models over the years and bought this for my son because he has shown lots of interest in model building and I knew he would like this. High quality model no paint or glue required AND you can actually play with it unlike many other models. Recommended.

The GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster was amazing fun to build. The articulation in this model really displays the new ingenuity of the HG product line. I was really impressed with its transformation as well. I do wish that there were more decals avaiable for this model.The Transformation for the model is fairly simple, and looks wonderful.Overall a good buy and I strongly reccomend this product to anyone who is a fan of Gunpla or is trying it for the first time.

The model is very good, very easy to assemble and detailed. However it has some minor colour mismatches between the pictures and the actual model (for example in the model I got, the rocket heads were wite not read), thus I can't give it 5 stars (even when the model liked me a lot).

My second assemble. Had no issues with the directions because the pictures in the manual were easy to follow. On to the next Gundam.

In my opinion, it was one of the more 'meh' builds. It lacks gimmicks beyond the "Transform" (which was a very weak transform, by the way), and requires a good amount of post-build detail work to make it look as pictured. For example, the missiles in the kit are just one color; the tips need to be colored red. Bandai didn't put a whole lot of effort into this kit.

Exceed my expectation. However, there are parts need some paint job in order to look good. Fantastic styling. Good toy!

小さいサイズながら、めちゃくちゃカッコイイです。ぶっちゃけ同じHGシリーズのガンダムエックスよりカッコイイと思いました。好みの問題ですが。ただ少し難儀なのは目のシールがパーツに対し大きめなのか、キレイに貼りにくかったです。対策として、目の周りの黒をガンダムマーカーなどで塗って緑のカメラ部分のみをシールからデザインナイフなどで慎重に切り出し、貼り付ける。というやり方をしたら、かなりいい感じになりました！パーツの色分けも良く素組みでもほぼほぼ設定通りに仕上がります。主役機だけでなく、エアマスター、レオパルドまでMG化してほしいです！

今回は別の可変MSのパーツ取りの為に購入しました｡シンプルな関節をしているので他の可変機の関節移植などに便利だと思います｡以前､素組み＋部分塗装で作ったことがありますが､プロポーション･可動共に良好です｡あえて言うならライフルがモナカなのでグリップが変形時に仕舞えないのが惜しいです｡

とてもかっこいいです。顔も小顔でスタイルもよく銃撃のポーズだけでも十分です。変形は頭をはずしてから変形します。

キットの値段と中身が全然釣り合ってないです。足の裏の肉抜きが酷い、色分けもまあまあ、手首も武器の持ち手しか付属しない。1800円という価格にしてはとても残念なキットでした。
