Great value!
They seem great to me. I'll try to remember to update after a year of use though. Plants are still wee so not certain if my plan will work or not, yet. I used 3 shorter versions of these this past summer, bought locally, and was pleased, but wished for longer ones (keep in mind a significant portion of the length is used up underground). Found these and got them but won't use them til spring of course. They seem as sturdy and as well coated as the other ones, but cost less.I got them in hopes of using them to keep my blackberries up off the ground so mildew won't get the leaves and rodents won't get the fruit. Because I feel a full trellis would be an eyesore, plus, it would involve significant cost and effort compared to this option. I like how invisible these are amongst the greenery (I see one reviewer says theirs were an offensively bright green- mine are a very dark green, a bit darker than most leaves, perfect for invisibility. I have no idea if the color varies by batch or that review was incorrect). And they are super easy to get on and off the branches, even with lush, spiky, floppy branches like a bramble has... so I am sure putting them on more cooperative plants like peonies is a breeze! I'm happy I got these! As to positioning... IMHO how you do it is NOT stabbing it in willy nilly, hooking your flower or bough, and bending it around to the right spot. I think the best method is to always keep the stakes straight, decide the exact spot you want the ring to end up, stab at the right angle so the ring will end up there once the stake's inserted in the ground, then once the stake is in place, grab your plant and twine it through the ring.

Much thinner wire and more flexible than the ones I usually buy at big box stores
The wire is about half the thickness I expected so these may not be stiff enough to support plants with heavy blossoms but they worked fine for my purposes: keepIng tall flower stems upright rather than bending toward the sun. Nicely shaped and coated, these supports look good in the garden. Upright tends to kink when it meets resistance in the ground such as a vein of hard clay. I poked a hole with one of the thicker ones first and then these slipped in just fine.

Exactly what I needed!
It’s not thick at all and it does flex a bit but this is exactly what I needed. I can see how it may not work for heftier plants but it is fairly strong. It’s very sleek which is nice. So glad I got these!

Sheerness?
How does one rate the 'sheerness' of a wire plant stake (your review request specifically wants a 1-5 star rating for sheerness)? These are exactly what I expected to receive. They aren't sheer and they shouldn't be. I'd be really mad if I received sheer plant stakes.

Improves appearance of garden
I originally bought smaller ones for house plants. But I find I use them in the garden to prop up the floppy branches of some of my taller flowers - particularly when blooming. I keep them in the shed and move them around frequently. It also works for tomatoes that need a bit of help before they branch out enough to use the cage. (I used the shorter ones for that.) I do often use two for one tall iris - pushing one in further than the other.

Great Stakes
I needed the stakes for our peonies...which grow pretty high and heavy so they droop. The 36" height is great. I could use a few longer ones too but I don't see any on Amazon. My husband had made some by bending some old cattle wire we had but we needed many more. These MTB stakes are great and they disappear into the folliage. I will surely use them year after year.

Not for small plants
I don't know what I was thinking! These were gigantic against the plants I intended them for. I had to send them back and didn't bother to replace as I don't think they make them much smaller than this. I just got some very thin tree branches (free, off the ground around my condo complex!) and brought some clips (I wrote a review on the clips too). I think these would be great if you have some very heavy and large plants, but mine are pretty fragile and delicate...

Great for the garden
I needed something to hold netting above my strawberries so the birds wouldn't steal all of the berries. These stakes were perfect. They are a great height and yet small and green, so they blend right in and aren't obnoxious. I zip-tied the netting to the top, and it worked great.

Poor quality. Not worth the price.
Will not recommend. Poor quality. Not worth the price. I regret buying theses. Could have bought better quality at the dollar store for less.

Garbage Product
The product can not support tomato plant. I found a same design product at dollar store which is much better than this and more cheaper.
