Neewer 2 Pieces Metal PU-60 60 Millimeter Universal Quick Shoe Plate with 1/4 inch Screw, for Camera Tripod Ball Head(Black)

I had misplaced my plates from my tripod by Neewer and this pair was a lifesaver. I thought I had a bricked tripod but this fit perfectly. It is easy to use, it is light in weight, and it is stable as the original. Great price and value.

Fits nicely into my tripod head and enables me to keep one on mult cameras. Sturdy plastic, non slip, easy to use.

I know opinions in the professional world of what you should run might not be these. As far I see them run, these will be in my kit. They are fast to get camera secured and a smaller foot print in mount design. I am speaking to the tripod system these are for. Just be sure you have the screw tightened before moving it. Do not be in a rush. Remember slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

First, it's matte black, not grey-silverish like the photo shows. Not a big deal either way, but I'm glad it's black. I'm using this on a Vanguard BBH-200. It's less than half the price of Vanguard's QS-60. It also works better for the tripod mount on long lenses because the grooved edges are on the long side (on the QS-60, it's on the short side). This way, you can keep the tightening knob on the side whether you're using long lenses with this plate, or short lenses with the QS-60 underneath the camera body. I had to remove the two screws with a 2.5mm allen key for it to fit properly. I may re-visit this in the future, the two screws prevent it from sliding around, but makes it harder to mount the plate and I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about the fit. There are 3 slots that the tripod screw can fit it. Changing among them is as simple as moving it to one edge of the slot, where the threads are, unscrewing it, and screwing it into the slot you want to use. Once it is screwed in all the way, it can move freely along the slot. Why did I only rated this 4 stars instead of 5? First reason, the screw holes are either not machined properly, or the coating made it just a little too thick. You need to use a little bit of force to get it to thread in the first time, and it scratches off some of the coating. I don't think it's a big deal, but I don't like that. The other reason, you're not able to use one of the slots as is. Other reviewers pointed this out. The ring that makes it easy to turn the screw by hand gets in the way. If you need to use the short slot on one of the ends, you need to remove the ring. Again, not a big deal, but damn it, didn't anyone test this? The ring also feels somewhat flimsy and flexes a bit when I'm tightening it. Fortunately, there's a slot and you can use either a large screwdriver, or a suitable coin (a penny works great) to tighten or loosen it. The perfect position to mount this on my lenses is a hole perfectly centered on the plate. Unfortunately, this position is not available. It still works, of course, just not perfectly centered on the foot of the lens.

Really nice quality and strong construction. It works well with my existing Arca plates. I bought this to replace the non-standard clamp on my Promaster ball head. It took just a bit of work since the Promaster used an M6 screw and this comes with a 1/4-20 screw. I found a M6 screw at the local hardware store. I also had to dremel the recesses a bit deeper in the bottom of this clamp for a solid fit, but that issue only relates to my use.

Very nice quality at a very good price

There are at least two sizes of Neewer quick-release plates for Arca-Swiss standard ballheads, 50mm x 38mm x 10mm and 60mm x 38mm x 10mm. This review is for the 60mm model, but I'd expect it to apply to both. I bought these quick-release plates so that I have the original that came with my Mefoto Backpacker for my camera (Nikon D780), another for a heavy Nikon 200-500mm telephoto lens, and a spare. The tripod came with the 50mm length, but I wanted the 60mm model to have more flexibility for balancing the long lens. These work great for that purpose (better than 50mm), and are a good fit for both the tripod head and the 1/4" Nikon screw mounts, with no depth issues as some have reported for other equipment. All-in-all, a good product for a good price.

I have about a half a dozen of these plates, after my most recent order I noticed that they changed the screw. No longer does it use a screw that could be used with the industry standard #7 screw. They switched to a screw that has a floppy D-ring that can be used to screw the plates on, but if you want to properly screw it on you have to find a hard to find screw driver that won't bugger up the slot. If you are looking for the proper screwdriver, you are looking for a PB Swiss #6 screwdriver or a Brownell's 360-6 mangatip bit.

Arca Swiss are my go to quick release plates and clamps. Quick tip... If your object doesn't have quarter/ 20 thread, such as a power bank etc you could, as I have done... Remove the screw from the plate and attach some double sided tape. 3M VBR recommended.

I have a Neewer tripod head and bought these additional tripod mounts so I didn't have to swap between my camera and telephoto lenses. They are perfect replacements or to have on other lenses with the tripod mounts

Neewer is great for quality at a good price, and these are no exception. I always keep a spare plate on hand just in case, and these do the job admirably.

I needed an extra one so I wouldn't have to switch feom camera to lens collar when putting on my big lens on the camera and tripod. These fit really well with my other brand bullhead. Well made and very happy with these. Feel even more solid and secure on the top of the ball head than the original plastic one that came with it. Would recommended this product!
