I just received this tuner today, fired it up, and it works great! I play primarily fingerstyle guitar in a lot of alternate tunings, so I wanted a chromatic tuner that would be fast and easy to use. I was not completely happy with the tuning app on my phone so figured I'd try this instead. I was able to move through my tunings much easier than usual and when it showed each string to be in tune, it truly sounded in tune without additional adjustments! One thing that would be helpful to mention in the instructions is that the battery slides into the battery cover. You then slide the cover into the unit. It only takes a moment to realize that but it would still be helpful. The only thing I can't speak to is how long the batteries will last because I just received it today, so that still remains to be seen. But as of right now I'm very happy with my purchase!

I've never had an electronic tuner, just used piano and my ear. This is super easy to use, easy to read (big, bright display), and the face is hinged so you can tip it to the angle you need for visibility. Also, it has five different settings for different instruments (violin, guitar, bass, ukelele, etc.) which makes it very versatile. Seems sturdy enough to last, and it was priced right (cheap/reasonable).

The only reason why I'm giving this product a 4-star rating is because the first one I received was not working and I had to return it. Outstanding service from Amazon for replacement unit: I received it on the following day from reporting the original unit defective, which means, it was shipped in less than 24 hours. Very easy return process, too. Now to the one that I have and does work. For some reason, I have always struggled to tune my acoustic guitar. I always had to rely on someone else to tune it for me. This tuner makes it a breeze. This is an example of when technology actually helps. It's very accurate. I don't think I have ever had my guitar tuned so fast and sounding so perfectly tuned so quickly. Yes, I may be horrible at tuning my own guitar, but I can definitely tell when a guitar is not tuned. So this is a lifesaver for me. 5 start for accuracy. It is definitely easy to read. 5 stars for this, as well. The display changes from blue to green when tuned and the gauge moves telling you in which direction is off. Once tuned, it's vertical and green. Now, 4 stars for easy to use, at least for me. Maybe it's just me. (Most definitely, but putting it out there, in just case there are other people like me.) For whatever reason, my display is always facing opposite from me after I have clipped the tuner. It's an easy fix as you just turn it around. But who knows why I always end up with it facing the other way so I cannot see the display until I turn it around. And talking about the clip, that's another thing. I wish the clip would open a bit more than what it actually does. It would be easier, as well as faster for me to clip it on. The other reason why I give it a 4 star for ease of use is because, unless you're paying close attention, you could end up setting it up for the wrong instrument. You have to press this tiny button right under the display and do so again until you reach the corresponding setting for the instrument you're trying to tune. The screen displays a very tiny letter for the instrument near the lower-right corner of the screen (G for guitar, V for violin, Etc.) It may be hard to read for some people. The font could definitely be a tad bigger than what it is. Nevertheless, I love it so far. I would actually give it 4.5 stars if I could. And I will definitely be buying another unit if anything ever happens to this one. Oh, one last thing. The cap for the battery compartment is a bit tricky for sliding back in. But how many times are you really going to be changing your battery? So it's something I can definitely live with, but it would be nice that they improve it for future models. Inexpensive and gets the job done. Good buy.

I didn't shop around to see what else is available in tuners, but I love this one and it's all I wanted. It easily clips onto the headstock of my guitars and is easy to use. It lights up bright green when the string is tuned, so it's fast and easy. It works with my electric guitar (Am. Standard Strat) without amplification -- it senses the string vibration through the guitar body. I had a much smaller clip-on tuner like this, which I liked because it wasn't visible except to me, but it died after a year. This item is larger and visible, but it seems better made. The plastic battery tray is a little wonky and I was afraid I would break it when putting in the battery, but I didn't. The screen can be swiveled in multiple directions to make it viewable from many locations. It's so nice to always be in tune and not have to struggle to get there.

On first view I really thought this product was cheap but that was me judging the packaging and the overall size of the thing. Once I powered it on and got it onto the headstock of my bass, this thing rocketed through the tuning process! Aesthetics be damned, this thing is all about function over form and it does it on a budget! I’m absolutely floored by this tuner especially when compared to the offerings which are double the price and don’t offer anywhere close to this tuners level of performance and ease/simplicity of use.

Il se positionne vraiment de la façon qui vous convient pour avoir une lecture optimale. La pince est solide et se met exactement là où vous l'aurez choisi et il ne reste plus qu'à trouver l'orientation idéale pour votre lecture. C'est vraiment plus qu'un gadget pour moi qui me servait d'une application sur mon smartphone, là on le met à sa place et on peut le laisser tellement il est petit, ne pèse rien et est très très fiable. Je le recommande réellement pour toutes celles et ceux qui veulent avoir un excellent accordeur de guitare et autres instrument à cordes !

I have been attempting to play guitar for about 40 years..... When I started we used tuning forks or other instruments to tune to.... let's NOT talk about tuning to woodwind or any reed instruments..... I've used floor pedal tuners (boss) and previous fender clip on tuners... And usually pretty good..... My last fender clip on tuner died of old age.... So I thought, given it had served me well for years I'd buy another one..... I did, it is as accurate as the last one was..... BUT..... This newk model requires screws to be removed for battery replacement..... As opposed to the previously convenient thumb slide....... Progress????? Ehhhhh no...... I have given 2 stars because it is fairly accurate..... but having to go back in time to replace a battery held in by screws...... Sorry Fender...... Perhaps this was a misprint and should have been a Squire....??? Own several guitars, including 1 fender strat, but I can't see any reason to buy your instruments , tools or accessories...... the label has regrettably lost all it's (once upon a time) reputation as quality instruments........ Hope this helps.... Don't buy because of a label folks....., K.
