This snake hook took a little extra time to arrive. I had to actually reach out to Amazon and make sure it was still on the way, as I had recently acquired a baby Boa that’s 2 feet long. It finally arrived and it works well. It feels a lot sturdier than the cheaper, flimsier collapsible hooks. I believe it will definitely handle my Boa’s weight as it grows. I’m going to purchase an additional one for my Ball Pythons. The smaller spare hook works well with my BPs for now. But, they too are getting longer and heavier.

Stay with the little one to my mom for her snakes and kept the big one in my car but I often use it for handling my constrictor and it works great for 40 lb snake

Rattlesnakes have been showing up in my neighbors' yards, so it's only a matter of time before one shows up in mine. The day I ordered this, my next door neighbor found THREE rattlesnakes in his yard. I have three dogs, I'm terrified of them getting bit. But I feel a little better knowing I can relocate them as safely as possible with the long hook. I'll probably use the shorter one for relocating nonvenomous snakes when my neighbors find one on their property they want gone. I feel like an official reptile remover now. Haha.

Quite surprised at the quality for the price. Imo this is perfect for someone who simply wants to be prepared while herping as a novice or have at home for that unexpected guest.. Don't get me wrong the quality of the product seems to be very good to use on a daily routine.

Great stick, heavy duty and lightweight at the same time. I have removed plenty snakes on my hiking trails, nice way to unharm them.

I really loved this... until it broke :( but I honestly think I was misusing it when it broke (I was trying to pull a very securely rooted bush out of the ground, totally not it’s function, and it was just too much for the place where one part screwed into the other part) I only removed one star for that though because, while I think my one-piece snake hook would have been ok pulling the stupid bush out (probably wouldn’t have pulled it out but likely wouldn’t have broken either) neither hook is actually meant for pulling stuff out of the ground anyways. I had previously done more than a week of snake abatement with it with no problems (though I didn’t find anything really big to test out how it felt to lift some weight) I really appreciated the little extras like the nice handle and the squishy pad on the pole for holding. And while the compass was broken on arrival (the plastic was cracked and the compass wasn’t working), I wouldn’t deduct a star for something so small on an otherwise good product. Despite the fact that I managed to break it it did feel really solid. And for the price I paid it was a great deal.

Surprisingly, this is a good value. I think I may get another set.

EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD!!! Poor quality. Comes unassembled (????). Shafts fall apart from each other. No stop to prevent shaft pieces from coming fully apart. Hook is not set in place, twists on a pivot when being used. Item will fall apart when being used. Item is just a cheap walking stick the manufacturer put a hook on the end of. Puts user in danger of being bit if used on venomous snakes. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

Same quality as hiking polls that I'm familiar and a strong well-made hook to match

I've been using a makeshift snake hook stick that is barely 3 ft in length, but it can't fit my backpack or my bucket when I need it to be hidden for certain commercial businesses or restaurants; where my clients do not want their customers seeing a pest control technician arriving with such obvious tools and chemicals. This solves my problem! Not only does it fit inside a bag, it looks more professional and sleek! Note that I use this mainly to grab and pull onto light plastic and steel mouse traps, so I am not putting too much weight or stress on this product.
