Fissler Protect Steelux 7.9 Inch Frypan

The nonstick coating works as advertised. It's possibly not quite as nonstick as the best Teflon coatings but then again, the Teflon coatings contain a poisonous chemical that is showing up in the cord blood of newborns even though DuPont swears that it cannot migrate out of the pan. It's definitely slick enough for the omelettes I cook in it.The only thing that keeps me from giving this pan a five-star rating, other than the fact that it's expensive, is that the coating seems to be a bit of an insulator, which makes sense because it contains ceramic, which is an insulator. In other words, it takes a bit longer for the pan to heat up and the food to cook than our previous Teflon pans, and when you shut off the heat the food stops cooking fairly quickly. I can accept these minor drawbacks to avoid the cancerous chemical in Teflon. Bravo, Fissler.

Fisher is the best! We own 5 total skillets, plus the splatter shield and can opener. Nothing, I mean nothing, sticks to these pans and they clean so easily. They heat evenly around the entire skillet area. We tested this by simmering water in it and watching that the bubbles were evenly spaced around the skillet bottom. We use very little oil cooking in these skillets. They don't stack perfectly due to the handle design. The handle has a curved section that prevents user from burning their hands, safety feature.We bought our daughter and son-in-law four Fissler skillets, and three of our friends have now migrated to these as well.

I really liked the idea of this pan. It's supposed to be a relatively healthy nonstick pan to cook on and was great for making eggs. The pan functioned well for about 1 year (maybe used it 20 times) but after a year the handle became loose and eventually fell off last week. I'll contact fissler customer service this week. If it goes well I'll improve the rating while if it goes bad I'll drop the rating.

The frying pan came in scratched with dust all over it. I returned it. It cannot be put in dishwasher. I own another Fissler fry pan and really enjoy it. The company had advertised it was dishwasher safe but when I wrote to them asking if this was true, because their literature said "hand wash only" they apologized and said it was not dishwasher safe. Nonetheless, I love their nonstick fry pans. If this wasn't damaged, I would have enjoyed it I am sure.

Great product and quality! Only downside is that it's a bit heavy.

You know there is something to be said to buying quality. This Frypan is excellent. It is really worth paying more to get more. No need to purchase anymore Frypans for a very long time.

Amazing. Love it. Nice size and good value. It is my fourth Fissler purchase. Started with awesome pressure cooker. Will be buying more. Gave the 9 inch non stick fry pan as a gift.

it is the best one. much much better than normal one, like Calphalon. inside all smooth, or screws holding handles.

Eine ausgezeichnete kleine Pfanne - zwar zu einem hohen Preis, aber der ist bei dieser guten Verarbeitungsqualität auch gerechtfertigt.Perfekt für Rühreier, Spiegeleier und Pfannkuchen, also delikates Braten, und auch für Bacon und Steak, also für scharfes braten. Nichts brät an, der Pfannenboden bleibt auch bei sehr hohen Temperaturen plan und sie lässt sich einfach und schnell reinigen.Also: auf der ganzen Linie eine Top Empfehlung!
