Coal tender doesn’t have battery box
The coal tender box does not have a battery box for 4number 1.5 Batteries as said on instructions but they’re not needed anyway as it’s charged with usb

Broken pieces
The train had a broken part again! I ordered one last week and it had two broken parts, one of which was a wheel that couldn't be fixed so I returned it. I need this train for a charity Christmas Market I'm volunteering with this weekend so I haven't got time to get a replacement. I will try and fix the broken piece as it's not integral to the workings. However it is pretty poor that both trains had broken pieces. I haven't tried it out yet so I'm hoping it works OK.

Fun train
Great for under the Christmas tree

Train good, track flimsy
Two and a half stars. The train and rolling stock is good, and my son loves it. However, the set that we got only has a rechargeable battery option. No battery box for AA batteries. Not a deal breaker, although it would have been a nice touch to ensure that the on-board battery is fully charged so that the kids don't have to wait a couple of hours before using it. Remote control works fine. What I don't like is the track connection. It is very loose and comes apart as the train runs over them. Great if you want simulated train crashes, but not great for sustained play. It does not work well on carpet. All in all, a shame because the train is great.
