I use this as a monitor so when my old remote died I needed a replacement. It works good.

This is the second one I've ordered. Returned the first one for a replacement but this one doesn't work either. Tried the instructions but that didn't help. Will be returning this one also.

This is not a universal remote. It was an exact replacement. No programming or reprogramming. Great value for an exact replacement.

I bought this remote as a replacement for my older Westinghosue TV I had purchase from Target nearly 10 years ago (My son had picked out the buttons on the one that came with the TV). I had received a different universal remote a Christmas Present but had a hell of a time trying to get it to work, and the instructions were more complicated than I bargained for. This remote came preprogrammed, and I was able to turn on my TV as soon as I took it out of the box. Simple & Easy! The only complaint I have is the design of the remote itself, which it isn't very hard to figure out. It can however be difficult to find the menu or program buttons to run a channel scan (If you are using an antenna) and it doesn't have as many features as some more modern remotes have. Either way great price and easy replacement if you already own a Westinghouse TV

I unpackaged the item, installed two triple-A batteries and immediately turned the volume down on the tv.My previous remote was cracked and this was an exact replica of the previous remote.
