Now Foods Xyliwhite, Baking Soda Toothpaste, Platinum Mint, 6.4-Ounces Pack of 4

I’ve been using the Now Foods XyliWhite Baking Soda Toothpaste, and I genuinely noticed a cleaner, fresher feeling after brushing. The texture is smooth and a little different from regular toothpaste, but it spreads well and leaves my mouth feeling very clean. I especially like the fresh sensation it gives without being too strong or burning like some whitening toothpastes. After a few uses, my teeth feel smoother and more “polished,” like that clean feeling you get after a dental cleaning. The mint is mild but pleasant, and it doesn’t leave an artificial aftertaste. Overall, I like how simple and effective it feels. It’s now part of my daily routine, and I feel like it supports a healthier oral care habit.

*Update* 6 years and counting. Still using the same brand for six years now. Not planning on ever changing. I LOVE this toothpaste! Finally I have found a healthy toothpaste - one with no fluoride or nasty chemicals, and it TASTES GREAT, has a great consistency, works great to clean my teeth as well as freshen my breath! I try to avoid chemicals every chance I get and a while back I found out that toothpaste is one source of a lot of bad stuff, so I first tried making my own with all natural organic ingredients, but it was disgusting! I tried a different recipe and it was better but not good enough to actually want to use. NOW I really love to brush my teeth since I found this one… see what I did there? ;P I have found other toothpastes that have no fluoride but they had other ingredients that are bad for you. The second place winner is the one I tried just before this one - the Xyliwhite Refreshmint flavor. It was good, just not as minty as I was wanting, so before I ran out of it I ordered this flavor - Platinum Mint, and it’s perfect! Ammendment 8-26-16: When I first read all the ingredients in this toothpaste I didn't know that carageenan has been shown to cause problems in the digestive tract. It is FDA approved and found in many foods, even organic foods, but now I know that even though it comes from seaweed, it is actually indigestible, and studies show it can be bad for you. My personal opinion is that most likely it causes problems when people eat a substantial amount of the foods that contain it, I'm only using a very small dab of toothpaste when I brush, and then I do not swallow my toothpaste anyhow. Since it does not get into my digestive system I feel it is still a perfectly safe toothpaste to use.

Excellent product! I have been using this toothpaste for several years now. Was happy to find it on amazon when my natural grocer sometimes doesn't have the flavor I want. Refreshmint gel is my favorite. My dental checkups have been perfect with no plaque. It is the xylitol in the ingredients that attributes to this. Highly recommend!

I don’t use fluoride and this is only one that also whitens and tastes refreshing. All I use.

This is the second time I have purchased a four pack of this toothpaste and one of the tubes has been cut wrong on the bottom, causing it to be improperly sealed. I had toothpaste squeeze out the bottom, all over my sink the first time I used this and that is how I discovered it wasn't sealed on the bottom. You can see in one of the pictures that not only is it cut wrong, the crimping machine skipped a section, otherwise the toothpaste probably would have been sealed. Since I am just one person and this is the second tube out of 8, that's a problem that NOW foods should really get on top of fixing. I get it that stuff happens in a factory but a 20% fail rate is pretty bad. I am going to start opening the boxes and checking the tubes prior to using any of them because both times, it has been the last tube I opened and now the return window has closed on these, so I will have to figure out a way to contact the seller to get a replacement tube. That said, I will still continue to order this toothpaste because last time, I was sent a replacement right away, so great customer service on the part of the seller. Also, since I stopped using fluoride, my gums have stopped receding and both my dentist and my dental hygienist always comment on what beautiful teeth I have. I am 49 years old and I stopped using fluoride and started using xylitol based toothpaste a few years ago due to tooth sensitivity and receding gums. Both of those issues have ceased since I started using this toothpaste. I haven't had any recession in my gums in two years. They measure it each time I visit the dentist (every 6 months). It was to the point that they were talking skin graft surgery on some of the areas if it got any worse, which is why I started looking into alternatives. Whether it is the change from fluoride to xylitol, I can't say. I just know that my teeth are no longer sensitive and my gums have stopped pulling away from my teeth. I wish this was mintier because I don't feel like it's great at freshening my breath, even though I brush my tongue too. But I will continue to use it as long as I keep getting results. My dentist fully supports that I don't use fluoride and they say they can't argue with the results they are seeing. No cavities either.

I have used this for years and will keep using for it's awesome minty freshness (platinum mint) and because it doesn't make me violently gag like regular toothpaste does. Perfect for morning tooth brushing. However, I have had to incorporate a fluoride toothpaste to address some cavities that came up over the years. Sadly though, it is likely my fault and nothing to do with the Xyliwhite, because I wasn't keeping up with regular flossing since the pandemic, and I sometimes skipped brushing at night. Be diligent or regret it later!

Great minty flavor! I use this toothpaste in conjunction with flossing and oil pulling with coconut oil. My gums are nice and pink and my teeth are beautifully clean! Recently had a dentist visit for a cleaning and the dentist found no issues and no cavities! I’m a happy camper

The best toothpaste I've used, mouth feels so clean after! Also after ordering 4 and receiving 5 tubes I offered to pay them for the fifth and said no worries!! Overall great experience and excellent customer service :)
