This table is pretty strong, nice weight and was designed with good quality. I wanted something a little understated but nice, and this fit the bill perfectly. My living room decor is black with shades of gray and a splash of turquoise, so this table fit the decor very well. It's not hard to put together; I did it by myself in right at 100 minutes. It would have taken less time but a couple times I got ahead of the instructions and had to backup (that's on me).The ability to lift the top to eat or work on a laptop was a plus, and one of the reasons I chose this model. It works very well, and the table doesn't move when you open or close it. With the top lifted, there's some storage space under there; be careful it doesn't become a catch-all for junk!The only drawback would be that if I wanted to have a fancy centerpiece, I'd have to move it whenever I want to lift the top, but I consider that minor. The surface is easy to clean, but I'd bet if you left something wet on it for too long, the finish would bubble or wrinkle a little bit, but coasters are your friends, and they can be stashed in the aforementioned storage space until needed!Overall, I'd recommend this table.

The build quality is nice, especially since you don't have to drill any holes into the wood. We haven't used the storage yet, buy it looks like it can hold a lot. The table in general looks really nice. The corners are kind of sharp, so be careful when you walk by it.

It looks good but the tabletop is wobbly when lifted and closed. It was packaged well, the assembly instructions are clear. It took around 2-3 hrs with little help of my kid. The overall quality is ok for the price. The verdict is as a temp piece it's fine but if you need something for the years to come, invest more. This is what I'll do next time.

Very nice to sit in front of a couch so you can eat on it or work on your computer. It was very easy to put together as well.

This isn't my first rodeo with putting together furniture but this is the most difficult piece I've put together in a very long time. It took me around 3 hours. Some of the screws were kind of difficult to get in. The lift top was a bit difficult to set up with the retractable Pistons.This coffee table is replacing my old lift top coffee table which just got too worn down. I immediately missed my old one.This one is just a little bit too short. When I lift the top it just barely clears the space over my knees when I'm sitting on my couch. If I'm using it for a table I still have to hunch over quite a bit. Also, while my previous lift top coffee table had a seamless lift where I could leave drinks on it and safely lift and lower without changing levels, this one is really wonky. You're going to want to clear everything off the table before you lift it or put it down.I'm not that mad, it was pretty cheap after all. It was a lot of work to get together but I have a nice looking coffee table now, and it does what I need.
