It's excellent to work with, but it does fray
I'm not going to mark it down for fraying--I had the idea I would create different parts of my embroidered wall hanging on different pieces of this material. I glued the two pieces together and then embroidered over the seam and glue is a bit hard to embroider through. But if you have a piece large enough for your work, it is SO much better than anything else I've used. I like to use larger threads and many of the fabrics sold for embroidery tear the threads so you get little ends sticking out in your work. I think that's what's happening. I'm new at this so I could be wrong. But I kept asking myself why everything thinks DMC is the best thread when it broke relatively often--then it occurred to me something else might be going on.

Cross stitch fabric
I bought this for a project I am working on and it is great for not so small stitches and the color and quality are good! The ease of the flexibility is great to put on a hoop. The money was just right.

medium quality, great price
Good hobby material. Not the highest quality, but good enough, especially for this price.

Charles craft makes first class stuff
I have liked every CC item ever purchased. It is always best quality, without charging astronomical prices. This aida (silver line) seems a bit thinner than their "gold" line. I expected that and the price was commensurate. The thing I like the best is the holes are all even in size, evenly spaced and easy to find with the needle. Sometimes I have worked with cheap aida and the holes are barely there, so you run the risk of pushing the needle one thread over from the hole you need. This aida is not heavily starched and will go into a hoop very easily. Because of this I would not suggest working in hand unless you iron some spray starch onto it, if that is what you prefer. This is 11 count/stitches per inch, so a very good stitch count for beginners. I like to run a serger or a zigzag machine stitch around the fabric edges when it first comes in, prevents fraying. If later I'm not going to use the entire piece, I use pinking shears to cut it smaller. This is quicker but you can cut with regular shears and re-sew the cut edges.

Needed the larger squares!
I just recently tried my hand at counted cross stitch again, after more than thirty years. I took a class at our local library, and they supplied us with 14 count fabric. I enjoyed the craft, but as a senior, had a difficult time seeing the holes in the fabric. I decided to try the 11 count Charles Craft Aida, hoping it would work better for me. Amazon had it at an AMAZING price, and it arrived quickly as promised. I haven't started a new project yet, but I am confident that it will be easier to see, and less time consuming and frustrating for me. I plan to make some small Christmas items.

Easy to Install and Stays Put!
I needed a privacy solution for a basement bathroom that is very dark. This did the trick. Love the pattern for my mid-century knock off bathroom.Probably want to use a razor blade or box cutter to make a nice, tight, even fit on the window. Very simple to install and keeps the room light and airy! Love it.
