Wood on the newel is excellent. It is heavier, studier, and more important the structure itself is better than any store I checked. As important to me, the wood is smooth and even throughout. The design is modern as I didn't want the same old spindle I had before.

I wanted to be able to update a staircase. This was perfect. Easy to work with as the bottom half is plain.

This is a pc of garbage, went through a lot of time and money only to have the post split top to bottom in two places. Going to cost a lot to replace it .

Great pricing. Beautiful style & quality. Shipped larger size than ordered. Contractor made it “work” but looks stupid to me & cost me additional $$$. Sure no one else will notice however, I replaced for same reason.
