Does it come with an sd card?

That being said, it depends on which bundle you are purchasing from Amazon, as some bundles do include an SD card. We recommend purchasing a name brand memory card that is 4GB-32GB and Class 4 or higher to ensure optimum performance.

How is image quality when shooting from a distance? I have a small handheld camera that takes very blurry pictures when I zoom in.

picture quality is excellent. I would invest in some rechargeable batteries though as this thing eats AA batteries like crazy. Great camera overall though.

My camera doesn't want to focus while zoomed out. What am I missing here?

What do you mean when you zoom out? This particular camera takes quite some time with focus sometimes. Many people have point out this. I yet to have this problem. Maybe the lense is dirty or you have to consider the camera is defective if this problem is constant.
