FROM THE MIXED UP FILES NEWBERY AWARD 68

I got the book after I saw a video on Instagram that interviewed the author's son. I loved reading every word and even bought a second copy to gift to my friend. She enjoyed reading it with her nephew and niece. I recommend that everyone read it regardless of their age.

I read this novel in my 5th grade class together and the novel was very interesting as well as adventurous. It is worth a must to read for everyone. It is hard to put the book as the details become interesting throughout the story.

Genre: Human interest, adventure, light humor, children's fiction Audience: 10 years and above, including adults Award: Newbery Medal, 1968 This is a gentle, thoughtful, warm-hearted, easy-to-read book that describes how two children spent a week in a museum in New York, and how they discovered the story of a marble statue that was thought to have been sculpted by Michaelangelo. The book contains light humor and is well-written. Whereas it is certainly enjoyable, it is not exceptional. My strong discomfort with the book is that the children ran away from home to have their adventure, and the story completely glosses over how much their parents would have suffered during the weeks that the children were away, and how much the children could have suffered had their adventure gone wrong. Impressionable children may get the wrong message from the book. I recommend the book to adults for a light read.

Poor quality of paper and printing

A two-time Newbery Medal Award winner, this book was beautiful. The illustrations are beautiful and I love the author's writing style! Its an adventure, and although it’s a bit slow paced, it kept me hooked till the end. I remember reading it outside in the sun, and having an absolute blast. A great book to pick up on a lazy day, absolutely recommend. Review by my daughter, Arohi Arora

Pushkin Children's books edition of "Mixed Up Files" by Konigsburg deals with runaway children Claudia & Jamie hiding out in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, no less! They also find a priceless treasure to boot.

Un gran libro, y su inglés es fácil de entender. Yo diría que es una lectura para 11 o 12 años. Me gusta porque es una aventura que parece real, es decir, que no viajan a Narnia, a Howards ni a ningún otro mundo paralelo. Es la historia de dos hermanos (Claudia de 12 años y Jamie de 9) que deciden escaparse de casa, pero no se fugan en un arrebato o en un berrinche sino que es un plan pensado durante meses (durante los cuales vab ahorrando dinero y planificando la fuga). El libro es de 1967.

It has withstood the changing times from 1967 to 2026. I'm 73 and chuckled greatly over it. Recommending to my grandson!
