They worked for 1968 boat trailer. Had to modify some things. There is no coating, it’s been inside painted and stills rusts on the edges before I even got it in the rain or lake. We will see how it goes but it needs painted or powder coated.

I had to go to the post office to pick this package up. My mailman would not deliver this to me because of the box being so damaged. The top of the box was ripped open and the corner was ripped out. There were 4 separate boxes that were in the big box and they were just bouncing around in the big box with nothing to stop it. In each small box the bearings were put in a plastic bag along with lug nuts, castle nut and hub seal with no protection of the bearings whatsoever. They were bounced around in the same box with the hub. As a result the hub seal was damaged and I am hoping the bearings are not also damaged. I am under a time crunch and I can not wait to reorder this. The product was correct and of good quality and I have no issue with it. The issue I have is of the seller and the terrible packaging and lack of care taken to insure that my order was safe. I will not order from this seller again.

Purchased for a trailer repair project (spring replacement). The shackle straps were NOT deburred, and had very sharp ragged edges. Gloves are recommended when handling. The shackle straps were NOT painted, and will begin to corrode immediately. Granted; these are installed in a very hostile environment, where most finishes will deteriorate quickly. For that reason they should be made of stainless steel. That said; these were a cost effective solution for my project.
