Works well
This is one of those things that you don't use often but when you need it, you need it. You can easily switch from ounces to grams with just a tap of the button. Display is easy to read and very accurate. It about the size of a small plate so fits very well in any drawer.

A great scale, if a little slow responding
I've been using this scale for a couple of months now and there are many things to love about it, compared to the three or four scales I have previously owned and used. It looks great, is easy to read, the buttons work much better than all of the soft touch buttons I am used to on scales, I can put large bowls on it and still read the display, it rarely shuts off in the middle of measuring (a big problem I've had with most scales), and the battery life seems good (haven't changed them since I bought). The reason it only gets four stars is one little problem that might not even bother most people. It is very slow to respond to addition of more ingredients to the bowl. When trying to slowly come up to some specific weight, I have to add a little, wait for 2 seconds, add a little more, wait 2 seconds more, until I finally get there. Sometimes I have to lift the bowl up and set it back down to get it to respond to the addition of a small additional amount (1 gram more usually). For a lot of people this might not be a problem but I am used to scales responding more quickly. One other little quirk that might become a bigger problem down the road - it's hard to clean underneath the glass surface, and I am noticing a little buildup.

Slim profile. Accurate, but not precise.
I've only used this scale for about a week now, but have used food scales for several years now. This one is by far one of the best I have purchased. It's best feature is it's slim profile and sturdy construction. It fits easily in cabinets, does not take up too much counter space (horizontally or vertically) when being used, and the glass scale piece itself is not very flimsy because it is held upon two measuring supports. It's simple in functionality (only two buttons), but does its job.The lock button on the back is in an odd location--I feel it should be on top or at least on the side. And no where on the box or in the directions does it explain the use of the lock function. The only negative about this product is its precision. It only measure ounces out to 1 decimal point. While this is not too terrible as calorically, an error range of 0.05 oz won't make that much of a difference, most other scales on the markets measure out to two decimal places. HOWEVER, I believe this is a good thing. It is much easier to learn visually portion sizes when only given 1 decimal place. This makes it easier to estimate and judge portion sizes in those times when your scale is not with you. (And that actually makes this negative, kind of a big positive.)Overall, a great product. Would and will buy again.

The kitchen tool I never knew I needed
This is my first digital kitchen scale so I can't compare it to others, but I love it. It gives readings in 10s of an ounce, switches from weight ounces to fluid ounces to grams instantly and, best of all, will zero out the weight of whatever container you're using, if desired. Plus, it is compact and will slide right in on your baking shelf.I'm surprised how often I use it - everyday baking, measuring coffee for a large pot, dividing and freezing Costco size packages of meat into portions for two. Recently I used it to learn the cost of lobster meat (we live in Maine). The answer is a 1.25 lb soft shell lobster yields just 3.5 oz of meat, so it takes five of those summer pound-and-a-quarters to get a full pound of meat. In fairness to the lobster industry, in late winter and spring when shells have hardened and filled out with meat, the yield is closer to 5 oz.The point is you will find uses for the scale that hadn't occurred to you and, like me, will be very pleased with it. It's like heated car seats. Until you have them, you think, "What's the big deal?". Then once you've experienced them you realize you'll never have a car without them. It's the same with your kitchen and a digital scale. You'll never go back.

Accuweight 207 is a good product
I was skeptical of using the Accuweight 207 Digital Kitchen food scale because of its simplicity. After 3 or more months of using it, I am happy with the Accuweight 207 food scale. In fact, using this device has taken my weight management to the next level. I enjoy using the Accuweight 207 when meal prepping, or before I eat a meal. Accuweight is easy to use. I like the fact that the Accuweight 207 offers the ability to tare. The glass is durable and easy to clean. I would recommend this product to weigh your food and use it as a tool to enhance your weight gain/loss plan. Scaling your food gives you an accurate measure of calorie intake.Another function I enjoy about the Accuweight 207 is the lock button. The lock button, located on the back, serves as a safety measure to avoid the scale from being activated. For example, if you take the scale on a trip and pack it in a bag, the lock button will prevent the device from turning on and weighing things unintentionally. This can drain the battery and probably cause damage to the sensors. With the lock option, the Accuweight food scale will turn on, but it will not weigh anything.
