3700 ESSENTIAL espresso machine

Once I got out of my own way and read the instructions to remove the water reservoir plug (you can infer the rest of that story), I discovered that this machine is not only adorable in my kitchen (I bought the pale green to match my theme) but it makes a wonderful crema! I mean coffee shop quality without standing over it to make sure it doesn't dilute. I have a Gaggia Classic that finally gave up its pump (five years of steady daily demands) and is in the espresso medical center, so I decided to go ahead and get what was intended to be a cute little backup. The flavor of this morning's shots has awakened me to the decision that this is going to be the primary source of my wake-up calls. The machine is light, but sturdy. It was easy to prime and heats quickly. Remember to remove the cover from the reservoir connection, and you're going to be very pleasantly rewarded with a lovely crema. There are several helpful videos online, as well. Recommended!

Nice looking machine, and ran well for the first two months with consistent shots pulled, however this week it began to glitch with the double shot no longer auto stopping - it will keep pulling a shot until turned off manually. Reached customer service and they were able to walk my through the volume reset. The only other complaint I might have it that the water does have a sight plastic smell when just pulling water which is a bit concerning from a microplastics perspective, but hasn't seemed to impact the flavor of the shots pulled. I don't use the steam wand so can't speak to that. I will also note that customer service was really quick on the phone, and then I received an email later offering a refund if I didn’t feel the issue was solved (which it had been), hard to beat that service!

My coffee tastes exactly like coffee shop coffee now! This works perfectly, and is cute too! Feels like good quality, makes great coffee in my opinion though I'm no expert. Overall super happy with this! Took me forever to decide what machine to get, glad I went with this one! Update: had this for around a month now, still love it, though afew things to keep in mind, the mug warmer at the top doesn't really do much, and the part where you put the coffee grinds in can be hard to get on, I have to hold the machine and twist it in place. Still love it though

Impressive

Great beginner espresso machine! Warms up quickly. Strong steam wand, but I recommend using a thermometer when steaming milk as the “hot to touch” doesn’t seem to heat the milk enough. If you are wanting 18-20g+ capacity shots, you will have to try to find a portafilter to accommodate, as the 51mm that comes stock only has about 12-14g capacity for the double shot. The cup warmer at the top is kind of useless, you’d have to keep a cup on it for a while for it to make any difference. Overall very happy with this purchase.
