I was trying to bring my older iPad back to life so I could give it to my nephew and it wouldn’t charge. My cables are working in my other devices so I surmised the charging port was at fault. I tried other methods like toothpicks etc but nothing worked. The lightning port is quite small and I needed something that would fit. I saw this kit on Amazon and figured I might as well try it out. I dampened one of the swabs with a drop of water and then removed the excess water with a paper towel and inserted the swab into the port. A little careful swabbing and then a follow up with a dry swab to remove any remaining moisture. And then tried to charge the device. It worked great! The old iPad is functioning perfectly now I also tried the lightning earbuds and they too functioned equally as well. The best aspect of these swabs is the risk of damaging the tiny contacts is small if used delicately. Bottom line is if nothing else works, it’s worth giving this kit a try. It worked for me and saved an old iPad so it could live on for a little while longer.

These worked great for cleaning the charging port of my phone. I just wish they were washable and reusable so I wouldn’t have to buy more.

Nice, cost-effective kit, easy to use and helped clean up my iPhone 6S lightning port and loosen grime in the speaker grille. As an aside: I would have used rubbing alcohol on the pads too, but didn't have any so used lens cleaner which did a good job. For the really tough bits in the speaker grille (which caused sound distortion and reduced volume) I used a set of magnifying glasses to see and sewing needle to pick out the dirt, then these pads (wetted with lens cleaner) to pick out the bits . Saved me opening up the phone, which was a bonus.

What I really need is a supply of small swabs to clean the charging port in my Samsung phone. Most of the things in this kit are too big to fit in that port. I am still looking for swabs designed for that specific purpose.

For a cellphone cleaner it is not very good I thought I would be able to clean my phone where my contacts are for the power cord. I’m a smoker and have the tendency to put my cigarettes in my pocket and then put my phone in the same pocket then the tobacco ends up getting in the phone as to when I plug my charger in it doesn’t want to make contact. This cleaner is useless to me why would I want to use q tips to clean the outside of my phone. I don’t return items that don’t work like this one because it’s not worth my time to. But when I get a chance to I’ll give you an honest opinion of your product and this product is not worth buying this should be a freebie if anything

Not sure about the bad reviews I have a iPhone 7 and the cleaner for the charging port worked perfectly and fit and the others worked great for cleaning the speaker holes and everything else. Dipped tip in a little alcohol and cleaned it great.

I got this to try to clean the charging port on my iPhone that would not charge but it did not work and is just garbage. Do not buy this junk!

After dealing with ongoing problems with poor connections with my charger. . . . . .this REALLY helped! Now my plug works effortlessly and consistently! Apple goofed when then engineered that silly plug. . . . . with no protection from pocket lint, and whatever else finds its way inside! Thank you for an effective tool!
