Do these tend to run a bit large or small or accurate by American/US standards?

I'd say a bit small, I wear a size 8 normally and got the size 9's which are comfortable.

Do these slippers have memory foam?

The picture is misleading. It gives no visual reference for how thick the memory foam might be. I think this product's foam (whatever type) is too small to really be helpful if you have plantar fascitis and you really need cushioning. It's about 1/4 inch thick maybe?

are the soles thin or thick? will they keep the cold from cold floors out?

Souls are thick enough to be sturdy but not like an outdoor shoe. Lined, so they don't let cold through from cold floors.

Are these roomy on the top of your foot (like just below the toes)? I had surgery and am looking for something with extra space for bandages. thx!
