Silk duponi; does not have a satin finish
This is not soft because it's duponi! Please read about silk before you invest in it, and leave a bad review. This material is very high quality silk duponi! It's lightweight, but not sheer. I'm using this material all over my house from this seller for curtains, and it lets so much natural light in, but at the same time it's completely private. I bought $300 in the gold color!

Not the best cut
The silk was good quality, but the cut was terrible. Ordered a yard, but the usable amount was 2 inches short. Cut was totally crooked. If I had needed exactly a yard, I would have been in trouble.

Gorgeous real silk fabric
Beautiful real silk. The shine is gorgeous and looks great with my metallic and silk floss. Perfect for goldwork embroidery and silk embroidery. I tested the fabric and it is real silk (silk burns to ash whereas faux silk melts kind of like plastic).

Don't waste your money
This silk has an unpleasant, chemical smell and remains badly creased, even after washing and pressing. I was going to use it as background for a hand-appliqued and embroidered pillow cover, but it's unusable. I've only bought dupioni silk before at quilt shops which carry quality products. Thought to save money ordering online but this was a mistake.

Beautiful fabric
The color is gorgeous. This is a medium hand, a bit heavier than other dupioni fabrics. Depending what you're making, it could be a bit too heavy but it's perfect for what I wanted. And the price and fast shipping are fantastic!

Lovely but requires a lot of extra binding.
The silk is lovely but it frays so much I have had to staystich each raw edge and then cover with bias tape.

Bittersweet is truly PUMPKIN, not GOLD!!!
Bittersweet is not Gold!! It is PUMPKIN!! See photo - true bright gold on top and this Bittersweet Dupioni is large piece on the bottom. The silk is beautiful and a nice weight. Very nice. Just not Gold!!

Definitely Not Gold
The quality of the silk was fine but it was not gold by any definition. It was a pumpkin color.
