Disclaimer: I bought this more for fun and cool factor than an actual use.The ruler has a cool appearance where the numbers appear to kind of float above the carbon fiber backing (due to the way light interacts with the carbon fiber appearance). The ruler itself is mostly everything you'd expect: straight, accurate. Additionally, the pointy end easily doubles as a letter opener.There are a few downsides: The ruler's measurements feel like they are printed on, so I fear that after some more use, measurements might start to rub off. Additionally, the inches are divided into tenths, rather than the more typical sixteenths. This means that inch side is really only useful for measuring full inches and half inches (and fifths of an inch, but I've never seen that used anywhere).Finally, one thing to note is that the ruler is not exactly 1 foot. There are extra bits at either end of the ruler, making the true length closer to 14 inches, so this might not work for some.

They trying to give me carbon fiber splinters! No good. Had to sand it to make smooth and it still is splinters. How to request replacement???
