I chose the gold version of this mouthguard in the mistaken belief that it would be better quality. I followed the instructions exactly and, when the mouthguard was moulded it fell out as soon as I opened my mouth. I repeated the moulding process, as directed in the instructions and got the same result. Having a loose mouthguard is of no use in hockey, as it would fall out as soon as you try to communicate! I picked this manufacturer because of the claim that they were World #1 and that my daughter had a well fitted junior version. I now have an expensive lump of plastic that is of no use for anything.

I've tried many mouthguards, this is the most expensive I've tried. Of course I read and followed the instructions.Result: Doesn't fit closely to the teeth, doesn't stay in the mouth for a second even with mouth only slightly open.Looking at the design it is completely identical to the cheaper opro.I'm not a mouth doctor, but I would say it's obvious that it's impossible for this to stay in someone's mouth when their mouth is open. It just can't be fitted tightly to the gums, or allow the teeth to go deep enough.

I’m a female adult who’s taken up boxing so needed a gum shield! This looked good quality!I followed the instructions correctly to mould this to my mouth but it just kept falling out and wouldn’t stay in position for even a second. I repeated the process 3 times but this just made it worse! It’s now in the bin and I’ll need to buy another one!!

Bought this for my 8 year old son who plays rugby. The fitting instructions are simple to follow. My son commented how much more comfortable this was compared to his previous one. He also loved to England Rugby insignia on it and wears the shield with pride. Being easy to fit around the teeth is very important and needless to say the fit is very good. A solid purchase and have since bought one for my 12 year old daughter who also plays rugby.

Used a shock dr that feels like offers more protection. But shock Dr uncomfortable.Used a Blitz that more comfortable. But being soft it didn’t feel like it offered as good protectionThis 2nd best in each category, but best all round.Tried loads of others that not as good

I ignored the bad reviews on the fit of this, putting it down as a user problem. However since buying it, we have also found that no matter how carefully we've tried to get it to fit, it just doesn't. So we're sticking with sondico for now. Its frustrating as I had hoped I was upgrading to greater protection for my kid but it turned out to just be a waste of money.

I bought this as it is supposedly used by the pros and have had trouble in the past with gum shields. I followed the instructions to the letter but the gum shield doesn't fit well at all. It is impossible to keep it in without keeping my mouth closed which is obviously useless for playing rugby. It states that you can repeat the process but that just made it worse. Complete waste of money and have had to bin it. Very disappointing as this brand are supposedly the market leaders..

before we put in boiling water to mold, my son put this gumshield in his mouth to check size and the RFU logo rubbed off - was in his mouth for less than 5 minutes! I don't now know what toxins he may have injested but this product should NOT be bought and should be delisted immediately, IMHO.also not sure what authority they have using RFU logo.appallingwill be seeking recompense and explanation
