You can put frozen cubes in it, but it will turn to water.The thermos maintains temperatures as low as 18'c - 60'c very well , if you put anything hotter or colder than 18'c it will only maintain it at 18'c and if you put something hotter than 60'c it will still only be able to maintain it at 60'c.
