I have a 23 yr old daughter with a rare form of Epilepsy that occurs on the X chromosome CDKL5. It is called CDD for CDKL5 DELEATION DISORDER. She has daily seizures, non verbal but understands. Keeping weight on is very difficult so her dietitian from one of the prestigious medical universities recommended Ensure EnLive due to the increase of protein and an added muscle protein. She gets 2 drinks a day by mouth and more if she has had alot of seizures. She loves the taste and it seems to be helping. Insurance does not pay but so far Amazon has best price on monthly subscription.

Tastes just like the original Ensure and we notice no difference in our health over the original. It is a few dollars more expensive and the label claims more of an ingredient called "HMB." This is stated to help maintain muscle mass. Again...after consuming a few cases we notice no difference. It is good as a lower calorie meal replacement and it does offer to fill in some nutritional gaps. Because it is Lactose and Gluten free, we will continue it's use and possibly gain some benefits by it.

Love these shakes just wish they were available in box stores. Glad I can get them from you.

I purchased these shakes for my son who broke his jaw and has to suck everything through a straw since his jaw is wired shut. He said the flavor is okay and he doesn't mind drinking them. We are trying to prevent him from losing weight since he's thin to begin with. These shakes are high protein, calories and vitamins and minerals. The one physician I work with said to get him a high protein body building drink. I prefer the Ensure because I know it has a lot of vitamins and minerals.

Great flavor! Nicely coats the throat and stomach, unlike most other brands I've tried. Good source of nutrients. Used in hospitals because it works.
