I am an amature at using this sort of craft product. Very easy to use. No excessive force needed to assemble the snaps. Did the layout carefully so the snaps would snap on and off. Don't over stretch the material, just work with a natural fit. I used them to install a pleated and padded vinyl engine cover in my motorhome. This product gave this project a very professional finished look. These snaps allow me to remove and put the cover back on with the minimal amount of effort. Do note a hole punch is not in the kit, not a big deal as a local hobby shop had one for under five bucks. No need to any excessive force to assemble the snaps, being gentle works the best. I only goofed up one snap and that was my fault for tapping too hard on the tool. I will used these again as I vision other needs for them now.

I used these snaps fastener for removable vinyl protection on my patio. They have resisted strong winds and rainstorm so far.No rust, no loose snaps and they comes with the tool set. I’ve tried other brands or providers and came back to this one with no hesitation

This product appears to be good, although I have not had my boat out in saltwater yet. It says these are 304 stainless steel. I'd prefer 316, but this is all I could find. Hopefully they hold up.One drawback I encountered, however, is the male part of the button has a permanently mounted screw pressed into it. This prevents you from changing the screw size for a thinner mounting surface, or using the male part of the button to attach to a cloth cover (for non-zippered closures). For the money it's not a bad buy, but it would be a more well rounded kit to have removable screws from the male half of the buttons and be made from 316 stainless. I'll keep an eye on them and report back if I encounter any problems.

Strong snaps but install accessories not very long lasting

I put some inexpensive seat covers on my pontoon in lieu of pro fabricated this fall. Had to apply snaps w/ this kit. It’s all about how the anvil and mash device in the kit , it’s a little practice but OK now only wasting three snaps. Great for the money and a bit old school being all the other Gizmos that do the same thing.. Snap application is an art it seems and some of the pliers avail. Are actually funny and $$. Save your money get this one. I’m very pleased.

I purchased this product to snap single thickness Sunbrella canvas to my pontoon boat frame. The shaft length on the snap is much too long for my intended use. This resulted in the shaft splitting and spreading out within the snap, blocking the snap action. The material would need to be much thicker. I solved my problem by holding each snap with plyers and grinding the shafts to 1/2 their original length. The installation tool then caused a uniform mushroom shape and a tight fit. Look on line for instructions if needed. I rate them 3 1/2 stars.

I bought these snaps to secure vinyl curtains to my chicken run to keep the snow out. I was expecting snaps, but was pleasantly surprised by their quality. They’re better than what I can get at the yardage store at a much better price. I’ll be looking to these for future projects. The included tools and storage box are equally well made.

You have no idea how many things you want to snap into place until you buy a kit like this. I've had a screw heads break in outdoor applications but overall this is a great kit. I use it in my RV converter cargo van to hold cloth pouches and storage. Used them for my dad's huge garage door bug-net. Used them for a friend's outdoor curtains on the patio. They work fantastic everywhere. The screw in portion may brake over time, as I have experienced, but it's nothing you can't fix in 1-minute.

The installation tool needs to be handled with a firm hand position snaps in the centre and punch the tool down a few times. It can easily shift on the round bas provided and you can end up with a misaligned install. Otherwise value for the purchase is very good. Easy to use.

This product met my specific need of a snap fastener that had a 5/8 " stud to repair marine boat cover the snaps were easy to install with the provided mini-anvil and punch.The value was exceptional as retail outlets did not stock 5/8" stud and wished to charge over $1.30 per stud and the snaps were also sold per piece at $.75 Standard delivery was within 36 hours.
