Impressive Looking Blanket
This is my second blanket like this because I like the other one so much. It's perfect for the beach or music festival. I'm sure it would look nice over the back of an ugly couch and spruce up the look. I did this with some hand-me-down furniture that I've now replaced. Don't leave it in your garage over the winter though or mice will eat a hole in it. Also, even when new, it doesn't smell wonderful. It smells like sheep wool, which is what it is probably made of.

Beautiful but thinner than should be
I own several Indian blankets. There is no such thing as having too many. And I'm not ashamed to say I added one more just fornits color and wow the blue and black are as vivid in the real as shown here. The only disappointment I have is the blanket is extremely thin, which defeats the magic of these blankets.Doesnt.matter how cold the nights are, if you throw one of these on top of your comforter or ordinary blanket, you'll be toasty in no time. This particular one won't accomplish that; not even close. Nevertheless it will still make for a good evening throw over or camping extra blanket and it won't fall short as visual decor.Photos show its color under flash and natural sunlight.

A bit worse than expected
It is what it is! I have had many Mexican blankets over the years, mostly purchased in Mexico myself. They vary in quality for sure. These blankets are very typical of the quality you would find in Mexico for normal tourist blankets. So that's good, because that is what I expected. The colors are bright and the shipping was fast. The negative: I made two orders of the same "color" (black) and the blankets are quite different. I expected them to be different of course but they are not the same dimensions nor the same color palettes really. They are both black as the base but the stripe parts are just not the same style. OK that kinda sucked as I am using them together. I don't really know how to explain it except to say it looks like two different factories in two different towns made a "black mexican blanket" and I got one from each factory. So they don't match.Another negative is that they get destroyed quite easily. Where something is rubbing on the blanket it is both shredding/ripping and not exactly pilling, because pilling means small balls of fluff. This is like one huge fluff ball falling off the surface. So they are not heavy duty AT ALL.All this to say I didn't really expect much from these blankets but they are slightly worse than I expected. They do LOOK nice, except that they are getting destroyed lol. Once they get really tattered (soon) I will use them as decorative blankets or picnic blankets or whatever.I should mention I have been using them for about 2 weeks? So they are falling apart pretty fast. But look pretty doing so!

Nice blankets.
Really very happy with this blanket. I bought it to cover up sun-faded seats in my cruiser. To answer a few questions I had about then that I didn't see fully answered here:Size- Close to 5'x8'. A little under but not by much. Within acceptable limits for everything but an exact 5x8 fit.Thickness: About as thick as my polo shirt (heavy weave, not the thin breathable ones), maybe a shade less. Does admit a modest amount of light through the light-colored sections, less than a teeshirt, more than a polo.Color: Bright bright bright! Looks great. I bought the all-blues ones. The light blue looks turquoise in the picture, I find it closer to cyan in the sunlight. That will vary though from batch to batch. The two I bought do appear identical.Overall? Not bad at all. Price is on the upper end of what I would want to pay for them but it's definitely not left me feeling like it was too much. Net result, happy with them!Follow-up edit, 2 years on. The blankets have survived well. 5000 miles of being sat on, washed 3 times in that period. Where the sun has been on them the black has faded a little but the blues are still vibrant. Where I sit, the fabric is pilled up and beginning to thin, but not holed. Good value? Absolutely.
