Beautiful plants & excellent flavor.
I planted the seeds directly in the ground in the summer heat of north Florida. I got a 50% germination rate but was still very pleased with the plants which look like small trees! The red stems and pods are gorgeous but best of all the pods are delicious even if I let them get 6 or 7 inches long. The pods don't get woolly and hard. I've gotten a lot of okra from just a few plants and have been putting it in everything. I really liked it in my spaghetti sauce!

Grew into Okra Trees
These seeds grew into thriving okra trees that are over 9ft tall. Produce so much okra for me I was thrilled. You have to harvest them when they get to the size that you like because if you wait 1 - 2 days more they will be very big. Even some of the ones that grew to large were still edible as they were not woody. I put these okra's in everything that I could think of. They also freeze pretty well. Great seeds

Best Okra Hands Down
Always get great seeds from David’s and I want to support veteran owned companies as this is. Of all the several varieties of okra I have grown these are the best as most of this okra can get pretty long and not become too woody to eat. I’ve had okra that you have to pick at thumb size and I always seem to get them too late. I have bought several different types of seeds from David’s and they always have a high germination rate. To me even better than big companies like Burpees.

Excellent seeds coming up very well
Healthy looking seeds. These grow very well in the intense S. Texas sun. I didn't know that burgundy existed. I am very excited to grow these. I prepare them on the grill. They are not at all slimy & actually delicious & sweet. There is no way we like them better. I may make a gumbo this year as a change, but try them grilled, I think u will find they are delightful.

I have had fumbled with a backyard vegetable garden for two seasons now, and this is the first (of maybe 12 veggies) wildly successful effort. Even though I planted them much closer together than I should have, they are thriving in the Houston heat and I am picking multiple delicious okra every day.

Only 30 % germination rate.
A 30 % germination rate. Had to reseed 3 times. Not very good!

Not what it claims to be.
The seeds I received were not red okra. They were tiny and few. I planted them anyway. What came up looked like a type of grass. Very disappointed.
